Hair today Gone Tommorrow

Balding is not something anyone would look forward to. Even though we are unable to stop aging we can help ourselves when it comes to hair loss.

Our hair does get thinner as we age and more for some than others but with today's medications and creams etc we may be able to slow this down.

I have looked into many hair loss remedies and have found some that are better than others in how they say the can slow down hair loss and some even say they will help your existing hair grow more and stronger. I do not know about that but have heard of some of the good some of them do.

Best Tips To Help You Prevent Hair Loss

By Steve Glide

Healthy hair is a sign of good health and if you take care of your nutrition, you are unlikely to suffer hair loss. People have varying types of hair depending on heredity. Commercial hair products, hormonal problems, stress and even some conventional medicines can trigger hair loss. Here are some tips to help you look after your hair:

Power up your diet with all the right amounts of minerals and vitamins. Silica, Vitamin A and C, iron, sulphur and zinc should be part of your daily diet. A good diet will not only help you check hair problems but stay fit as well.

The best way to dry your hair is to let it dry up naturally. You need not use curling rods, rollers, blow-dryers or other electrical accessories on your hair unless absolutely required. These unnatural methods of drying your hair makes it very brittle. A good shampoo and conditioner that are based on a herbal and all-natural formula are best for your hair. In the kitchen, you can whip up a cleansing rinse by mixing a cup of lime juice and a cup of epsom salts in one liter of water. You can use the this 15 minutes before shampooing your hair. The mixture makes an ideal pre-shampoo rinse.

Protecting your hair when you go swimming is very important. Even if you wear a cap in the pool, do rub a little olive oil in your hair beforehand. When going out in the sun don't forget to put on a cap or hat. Harsh weather elements can spoil your hair.

Discuss prescription medicines with your doctor. The contraceptive Pill, thyroid drugs, cortisone, diet pills and antibiotics are some of the drugs that can cause brittleness and hair loss. For improving the health of your hair, massage your scalp daily. Use your fingertips and palm for the massage. Rotate them in small circles for 3-5 minutes every day. You can also use apple juice for the massage to check dandruff. After massaging, shampoo your hair and rinse with apple cider vinegar.

You can also consider taking mineral tablets after asking your doctor. You can also drink stinging nettle tea and use it as a final rinse after a shampoo to check thinning hair.

Usually stress can also lead to hair loss. You can do regular meditation, light exercises like yoga etc to keep stress at bay. It will help you improve your overall health as well. But if you suddenly experience an alarming rate of hair loss you must cross-check with your doctor about the possibility of any serious health disorder.

Can You Really Do This? - Grow a New Head of Hair

By Veronica Carrillo

Treating a thin hair problem can be like that old method for typing out a report. Back in the old days we relied on things like typewriters to get paper reports and other documents done. Now that technology has advanced, we have computers and the ability to edit and even save documents on a simple key chain device.

Much like the typewriter, methods for fighting hair loss can get worn out. Most of us have tried a product or two in our day that has failed us. Just when we thought we were on the road to restoring our hair, things changed for the worse.

Don't get me wrong, both of these could truly be the reason why your hair is not growing the way it should. But more importantly you should know that there are other influences affecting hair growth. So to assume genetics is the determining factor would be misleading to yourself. But on to how you could possibly grow your hair back.

DHT can be treated simply by taking herbs daily. One of which is saw palmetto. Back in the early 90s when minoxidil hit the scene, most men relied heavily upon that drug to boost hair growth. Science has advanced and every day there are newer and newer discoveries of simple, natural things that can do a better job than yesterdays marketable products.

During halftime break, as we were both in line getting hot dogs and cokes, he questioned me: Are there any off-the-supermarket-counter medications I'd recommend? Whether topical or oral drugs, it didn't seem matter to him.

So yes you can get a full head of hair back if the damage isn't too bad. However this is just the tip of the iceberg as to what you should know to fully fight alopecia effectively.
