Hair today Gone Tommorrow

Balding is not something anyone would look forward to. Even though we are unable to stop aging we can help ourselves when it comes to hair loss.

Our hair does get thinner as we age and more for some than others but with today's medications and creams etc we may be able to slow this down.

I have looked into many hair loss remedies and have found some that are better than others in how they say the can slow down hair loss and some even say they will help your existing hair grow more and stronger. I do not know about that but have heard of some of the good some of them do.

How You Can Add Volume Density With Hair Thickening Products

By James Capuchin

There is a high availability of products that thicken hair available in shops and online. Thickening shampoos and conditioners, aerosol sprays and powders are just a few of these products.

These products all work on a similar basis in that they thicken hair by cosmetically thickening individual hairs thus giving an overall thickening of the hair.

On excellent aid that is not a product as such for those wishing to thicken hair is a simple hair cut. Shorter cut hair nearly always gives the appearance of added volume and strength. A crop cut for men often does wonders and looks clean. For females that would like the appearance of thicker hair a bob cut is a similar option. Shorter hair also tends to take the focus off of a person's hair and more onto their features. Minimizing the difference between the natural hair color and the scalp also brings less attention to any hair that might be thinning and creates the appearance of thicker hair. Your hairdresser would be a good person to consult in such cases.

One option that many chose to add more volume is to use weaves and extensions. Although they will obviously add thickness cosmetically at least they can cause a lot of stress to individual hairs. For this reason they are not advised. for people with thinning hair that want to increase thickness as they can add weight and more stress to an already weakened hair follicle.

There are lots and lots of thickening products for hair available. One should always read the labels carefully to make sure that they are safe using such ingredients. Online buyers must be particularly cautious that they are buying from reputable sellers and that the products are entirely safe and trusted. One should also look into whether or not the hair thickening products have chemicals in that are safe.

Will Laser Hair Regrowth Get My Hair Back?

By Anthony Devlin

You probably don't need medical science to point out to you that hair loss among men is a natural part of life. That doesn't mean they are all happy about it. The actual scientific name for male pattern baldness is Androgenetic Alopecia and it occurs to millions of men in the United States. There is not one specific reason that determines when or how much hair loss you will experience.

Apparently there's a hair loss gene, some attribute stress for bringing it on quicker. Whatever the determining factors there are ways to combat Androgenetic Alopecia. With a process known as Laser Hair Regrowth you could fight back against baldness by stimulating damaged hair follicles into regrowth.

Laser hair regrowth is not a surgical treatment. It is provided by specialized clinics and you go through a detox program and use specific shampoos and conditioners to enhance the treatment. There are different ways that laser hair regrowth treatments can employ. With some treatments the patient sits under a light that emits laser energy to the targeted scalp areas through a process called photo-biostimulation. From here the laser stimulates the blood supply and deep tissues of the scalp so that more nutrients can reach the hair follicles, and thus stimulate hair regrowth.

Is there any medical weight to laser hair restoration? Scientists have based themselves in 2 camps. Many have said it has benefits for men and woman trying to combat hair loss, while others have said it has no benefit whatsoever. Dr Charles from The Coalition of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians believes it can increase the quality of the hair the patient still has left, rather than preventing baldness. Other words it may buy you a little time, but t isn't actually the answer.

Laser hair regrowth is designed to restore the damaged hair follicles which have some role to play in the onset of Androgenetic Alopecia. This will therefore require numerous visits to a hair regrowth clinic. You may be asked to use a laser hair comb at home to complete the process.

Laser hair regrowth restoration treatments should generally be thought of as a temporary solution to a much bigger problem. It has it's fans, but hope is a fine thing, until science has a divine breakthrough. Until then don't go getting your hopes up, it has helped some people but not others, you've heard about the story of fools gold, right?

The Good News And The Bad About Baldness Cures On The Internet.

By Peter Albertson

There is probably as many as 100 million men or more in the US who would love to find a baldness cure. Somewhere around 50 percent of men, it is estimated, will suffer from a degree of baldness in their lives and most of them would love to reverse their thinning hair. With numbers this big baldness cures abound on the Internet. But how do you find a good cure for baldness?

Baldness cures aren't cheap and so the market for hair loss treatments is worth hundreds of millions of dollars or more. Where there is that much money at stake there will be many products to fill that demand. But that doesn't mean that all of them work or even that they would be safe for you to use.

The Internet is pretty much unregulated and it's very easy to put up a website selling cures for baldness. There is no requirement that anyone who does this demonstrate that their hair loss treatment does anything to reverse hair loss or even that it is safe to use. You have to beware of any cures for baldness on the net.

Buying baldness cures on the Internet can be an easy way to get ripped off. There's a good chance they won't grow more hair on your head and they may well be harmful to your health and wallet. So should you just forget about finding a good cure for hair loss?

Not at all. We have an organization whose job it is to regulate these things. The FDA has approved two products to use as men's hair loss treatments. Both these products have been demonstrated to the satisfaction of the FDA to work to counter male balding, including in cases of male pattern baldness, because that causes over 90 percent of men's balding.

It is fair to assume that where the FDA has approved a product as a men's hair loss treatment that there is sufficient evidence, in the form of proper scientific studies, that these products work to reverse hair loss. However it is also true that these products will not work as a cure for baldness for every man suffering from male pattern balding. It is too much to expect any product to work for everybody.

The FDA has approved minoxidil and finasteride as men's hair loss treatments. Finasteride is marketed as Propecia and is not approved for use in cases of women's hair loss because it has been demonstrated to cause some serious side-effects for women. It can also have some side-effects for men including loss of libido.

Minoxidil is the only hair loss product approved for use by men and women. It is thought to operate to restore hair growth by improving the blood flow to the hair follicle thereby improving the availability of nutrients to the follicle. As lack of nutrients is the reason why a hair dies in cases of male pattern baldness this makes complete sense.

And whilst it is clear that minoxidil on its own works as a hair loss treatment one company has seen an opportunity to improve the results and has combined minoxidil with essential hair nutrients to maximize the chances that their hair follicles will absorb enough nutrients to start to regrow hair.

This product seems to work more effectively than simply using minoxidil on its own.

But you must be aware that despite the fact that there are dozens of baldness cures on the Internet, there are only 2 cures for baldness in men that are approved by the FDA and only one, minoxidil, is approved as a male pattern baldness cure as well as a cure for baldness in women.

On my website you can find out which company markets minoxidil combined with a range of essential hair nutrients to maximize the chances of successful regrowth of your hair.

Why Utilize The Best Treatment For Hair Loss?

By James Stevenson

Do you see yourself seeking the very best treatment for hair loss? A few things that factor in to hair loss are hormones, tension, eating habits, heredity, and not taking proper care of your hair. Hair loss is often stopped when anxiety-causing conditions disappear, constant worry, food intake, and sickness being among these temporary circumstances, and generally hair will come back when the eating habits and hair care improve and the sickness is healed or tackled.

Heredity and hormones are different matters, however. Heredity is an irreversible condition - you are a product of your parents, and hair loss is often inherited. Hormones are tricky, hidden things, however, and they have different effects on an individual basis. In a male, testosterone abides abundantly.

There are also enzymes working on testosterone which product a substance called DHT. DHT is now known to circulate in the blood and cause other conditions, one of which is the shrinking of hair follicles. When hair follicles shrink enough, they are unable to produce and push a new hair through, so as old hair dies, it is then not replaced.

In women, hormonal imbalances can also cause hair loss. Pregnancy, childbirth and menopause all cause significant hormonal change and imbalances with both physical and mental effects. These changes can also cause hair loss, both temporary and permanent.

For a long time medicines were there for stopping the fall of hair and to make them grow. Centuries ago, the Aztecs, Mayans, Egyptians and American Indians used various herbs and oils to help treat hair loss.

Modern medical research has focused on ways to re-open and stimulate ?dead? hair follicles, so that hair growth can re-occur naturally, as well as keep the healthy follicles healthy. Thus, a number of products have become available, both by prescription and over-the-counter - they are advertised on radio and television and all over the Internet. One need only do a "Google" search on hair loss, and there are literally thousands of sites and products for investigation.

One ingredient in the best treatment for hair loss is minoxidil. Research studies have shown that in about 80% of the participants, products containing this ingredient are effective in slowing hair loss and, in some, causing regrowth to occur. Probably the most well known is Rogaine, available at any drug store, in varieties for both men and women. Most scientifically-produced products do have separate products for males and females, because, of course, hormones in each are different and of different levels.

Another product that has minoxidil is Provillus and is shown to be equally as effective. The difference in Provillus and similar items is that Provillus's creators have included Azelaic Acid, an extra ingredient which seems to improve follicle repair in both males and females.

Provillus - perhaps the best treatment for hair loss - has been the subject of many studies, just as the other products, and level of effectiveness may be higher. Provillus is available for both men and women, and the treatment is a combination of a topical liquid applied to the balding areas, as well as a pill or capsule to be taken in conjunction with the liquid.

Provillus claims that it is the specific formulation of the azelaic acid that makes the treatment so effective. Like with most hair loss remedies, you need to have patience with using Provillus. Improvement may occur in 3-6 months, but if it is not working for you, there is a 90 money-back guarantee.

Medical research hasn't yet found the extensive answer for avoiding hair loss and regrowing hair that has been lost "lastingly". Existing makers will without a doubt modify their product as desired with the continuation of this research. Hair loss victims should not agonize too much, though. Enough financial support is put into the research for the best treatment for hair loss.

Thinning Hair Remedy Tips

By Stephen Arty

In ones normal life it is expected for us to lose up to 150 hairs every single day. It is usually during washing and combing our hair that this hair sheds, naturally.

Thinning hair and hair loss can be caused by many different factors such as a poor diet (especially one lacking in protein), a negative reaction to medication, a change in hormones such as for women during pregnancy and menopause, stress etc...

Because there can be multiple causes of thinning hair there are different remedies depending on what the cause of the thinning hair is. The following are a few tips that can help thinning hair.

1. Be sure to have a diet rich in vitamins and minerals. Vitamins A through to C are considered to be particularly important in maintaining good hair quality and prevent thinning. There are lots of sources to find these different vitamins. Vitamin C can be found in lots of fruits such as berries and oranges etc... Vitamin B is contained in foodstuffs such as brown rice, butter and red meat. Vitamin A is found in high quanties in eggs an cheese. Of course one can also take vitamin supplements to get the right amounts of these vitamins. A balanced diet including the above and adequate amounts of protein are vital in maintaining a healthy head of hair.

2. Avoid harsh chemical being used on the scalp and blow drying the hair. These can weaken and damage the hair. Also, what is safe for one person is not necessarily safe and reliable for another, so be sure to fully understand any chemicals and other ingredients in shampoos, conditioners and other hair care products.

3. Try to stay stress free, as with diet, the body will sacrifice hair and or hair quality when it thinks the immune system is under siege in any way shape or form. Thinking positively and doing exercises such as yoga are excellent stress busters.

4. Though there are many products claiming to be thinning hair remedies there are only two FDA approved medications proven to help thinning hair and hair loss. These are Minoxidil and Finasteride. Minoxidil can be used by both men and women and is believed to increase the flow of blood to the scalp. Finasteride inhibits Dht (a by product of testosterone, which attacks the hair follicle) and is to be used by men only. In addition to these, many people swear by Nizoral shampoo in thickening hair and being an excellent remedy for thinning hair (although no studies have ever been done to prove this.) 5. Try cosmetic hair thickening, volume adding products. These usually take the form of a hair thickening spray or microfiber or shampoo or conditioner. Although these products are merely cosmetic and won't biologically remedy thinning hair they cosmetically can, almost instantly. Again, be sure that you know what the ingredients in these types of products are and whether they are safe for you as an individual.
