Problems with Hair Transplant?

By Jessica Biel

If you had a hair transfer procedure within the last few decades, it is possible you aren't at all pleased with the result, as you may have experienced the type of transplant normally called hair plugs. This type of procedure can cause your hair rise like the quills on a hedgehog. Modern techniques are more likely to result in a more natural looking head of hair.

There are certain hair transplant surgeons who specialise in hair transfer repair surgeries, and these are the ones you'll have to find initial. You can look for ads in yellow pages or your own primary care doctor may know about a surgeon who is involved in this kind of work. Getting hold of professional organizations is also a good idea. when ever you find a good doctor or doctors for hair transplant than make it sure that they let you show some of there practical work because it will be not less of a hazard to see what they are going to do with a virgin scalp. Find out more about their experience with similar patients and, if you can't speak directly with the patients, at least request pictures of them so you can judge the results for yourself.

If you are not satisfied with your hair transplant consult with a operating surgeon about rectifying the problem. For example if you have large plugs, ask about getting rid of them. The surgeon might want to remove this, divide them into tiny sections, and put them back in but if you have smaller plugs, he might just put in new donor hair to reduce the results of a doll head visual aspect. If cost is an issue with you, discuss it with your surgeon as this is a very real problem for many who want to have bad hair grafts fixed.

It may be more expensive to do the correction than an original surgical procedure would cost and if you do not have the cash, your doctor can normally point you to several different financing methods. In this fashion, you don't need to have all the cost up front. Which means you have more healing to do than somebody who is having a routine hair transplant, discuss healing with your hair transplant operating surgeon because you may be having plugs taken out. Following hair transplant, the sites of plugs, insertion and donor sites need to be allowed to heal, which may take further down-time and particular post-operative care.

Investigate with your physician if they plan for you to have another surgical process since you might have to get the plugs taken out in one procedure and recuperate before you have the following procedure. Your doctor may not know the answer to this until after they see how your first surgical operation has gone but in any case, it is wise to go in believing that you probably will need more than one treatment. Unfortunatly there are those who are living with a bad hair transfer. Once you have done the procedure you will have to live with the results you come out with good or bad, so be wary of who you have do it. They find it difficult to believe that there is now a way to fix these problems. It is not only good news, it can give them a hope they never thought they would have.

Loss Of Hair - Slowing Down The Process

By Mike Jones

Losing hair is as anxiety ridden as finding out you have a terminal illness. The fear, the panic and the uncertainty seem to take over our lives. Baldness, or Male Pattern Baldness, has many different causes but only a few effective treatments. The newer ones, however, have seen some impressive results which can alleviate a lot of the ongoing anxiety.

Hair loss, or alopecia, is caused mainly by genetics. Over 90% of men who experience hair loss, or male pattern baldness, are being adversely affected by a hormone called dihydrotestosterone, or DHT. There is no way to replace DHT, but certain medications are formulated to slow down the speed of its loss.

Other causes include medications having side effects including hair loss. Another is severe illness. Any time vitamins are depleted from the body, the body fights back by sending needed nutrients to vital organs, and our bodies don't believe feeding hair follicles is important. And of course, there's chemotherapy. Nothing affects hair follicles like high doses of poison.

Researchers have been working for years to perfect treatments and cures. Some work well, others work on certain individuals only, and still others are fairly successful but outrageously expensive.

Success comes in many forms: pills, surgery and ointments. There are some laser treatments that do produce pretty good results in many individuals. Of course, others will swear by something they bought from a roadside quack that might include cow dung, herbs, or some other disgusting mixture to either swallow or rub into your head.

Only a few decades ago, the only and best remedy was some pretty antiquated hair transplants. Success was not overwhelming. Infections and total failure were more common. These were expensive and painful to say the least. Very few patients enjoyed long term success. Some lost all their new hair and the money for the surgery. Procedures did improve along with associate pain and even costs. Long term success rates increased and severe infections that resulted in hair loss decreased drastically. However, these new surgical procedures are still surgery and they still come with risks that include everything from allergic reactions to the anesthesia, to tissue rejection.

Treating your hair loss will depend on how much hair you have lost and why. If your hair loss does not have an obvious cause (genetics, chemo, etc.), your doctor might run some tests to check for things like hormone imbalances. In many instances the underlying cause is treated, the condition is corrected, and your hair grows back on its own.

If there are no underlying causes to treat, then the loss of hair is treated separately. Your doctor can help you decide on an appropriate course of action. Usually a physician will start off with less risky procedures such as topical ointments and then graduate to more aggressive methods depending on your reaction to and results with a specific treatment.

If you are seriously considering a surgical option, you would be doing yourself a favor to get an independent evaluation first. Virtually no one is turned down if they show up at a clinic asking for a hair transplant. These are full service, self pay elective surgeries and when you walk through the door, you are revenue. Listen to your own doctor or at least find a dermatologist to get a thorough evaluation before making an expensive, painful, and irreversible mistake.

Why Not Stop Baldness Now? Discover How You Can Cease Baldness Now And Regrow You Hair!

By Julia Garsons

Losing your hair can be the start of serious self esteem problems.

But if I told you today there is a easy natural cure for hair loss, would you take the steps to correct your problem and get your self esteem and life back on track?

If you instantly thought, 'yes, of course', then today is your lucky day my friend.

Lets first start with the cause of hair loss, and what most treatments don't offer help with.

First up is DHT. DHT is well known now for causing hair loss as it accounts for 94% of hair loss sufferers. It is a byproduct of testosterone, which turns hair follicles dormant, thus leading to hair falling out.

They act by suffocating the follicle, thus forcing your hair to fall out. But unfortunately we all have DHT being produced by our bodies, and if you are reading this article, you probably have more than most.

Stress is another common contributor of hair loss.

Luckily I am not a big hair loss sufferer. But I do know how stress affects hair loss as I have suffered from a temporary form of it myself. It is critical to limit the amount of stress you have, and the only person who can look after this is you.

Unfortunately, it is not always that easy as stress can hit us at any time. Learning how to deal with it though can mean a world of difference.

By eliminating any stress, you allow yourself the best chance of full hair regrowth.

But Lucky for people today suffering this problem, is that there is now a guaranteed natural treatment to stop DHT production and promote hair growth.

Natural Treatments for hair loss contain and array of vitamins, minerals and extracts specifically formulated to stop DHT naturally, and also assist with other common medical conditions.

Now although there is no miracle cure that will offer overnight regrowth, natural treatments offer a substantial increase in hair regrowth...so sticking with the treatment is crucial.

Menopause And Hair Loss Is Not A Myth

By Robert Sanders

Are you one of the many people who doesn't know that menopause and hair loss is real and quite common? There is nothing to be ashamed of because most believe this is a problem that mostly affects men. However, hair loss is very common in women.

Although it is not as common for women's hair to fall out, when it happens, it leaves them feeling stressed and quite depressed about it.

Regardless of that, their problem is quite different from the pattern baldness that affects males. Male pattern baldness causes men to lose their hair in specific ways, often leading to the horseshoe that remains after all falls out.

Women-pattern baldness is typically the thinning of the hair on the top of the scalp. For many, it can get quite thin, leaving women feeling very insecure and trying different hairstyles to conceal the problem. Unfortunately, they usually opt for styles which can further damage hair follicles, leading to more thinning.

Do you know any women who are going through menopause and hair loss? It is a trying time for them. Not only are they having to deal with the hormonal changes that come with menopause, they are also dealing with an embarrassing and emotionally crushing problem.

Up until recently, women had no real choice in treating their hair. They only had perms, ponies and teasing which would help them conceal their problem. Fortunately, all this has changed and women have the option of choosing between topical solutions and oral medications that are prescribed by the doctor. The truth is, they work. In the worst case scenario, the medications will at least maintain the remaining hair from falling out. The bottom line is that now something can be done about menopause and hair loss that will help with regrowth and maintenance.

Why Am I Losing My Hair? Discover How to Not Only Prevent Hair Loss, But How to Regrow it Fast!

By Julia Garsons

Some of us keep asking ourselves: "Why Am I Losing My Hair?"

Well I guess that you have come here looking for some answers to either help you regrow your hair, or help prevent hair loss.

I say, Why not have both?

There are so many products on offer today offering us a full head of hair in the shortest time possible. Most focusing on the hair regrowth, but what about actually fixing the initial problem...what is causing my hair to fall out in the first place?

Luckily for myself, only suffering a mild form of losing my hair, I have been fortunate enough not to fall into the category that two thirds of men fall into. That is starting to lose there precious hair from there early twenties. With changing social scenes, working more hours, ever changing lifestyles, many females are experiencing hair loss too.

Well luckily for you and me, there is now a treatment that not only helps you regrow your hair, but prevents the root of the hair loss problem.

And to add to this...thousands of people are starting to regrow their hair and are now experiencing more hair than when they were in there 20's.

So this is great news for you and me, knowing that we no longer have to worry about hair loss.

I am not talking about forking out lots of money on expensive laser treatments or shampoo's.

By now you have probably heard in your research about the excessive cost of laser treatment with its ongoing consultations. It can get very expensive. Although there are small results to be had, its not cheap. And does not actually get to the root of the problem.

Hair loss treatments such as shampoo's have been proven to be very ineffective in treating this problem due too only offering the scalp to breathe better. A clean scalp is essential in helping you to regrow your hair, but is only one tenth of the battle.

So what is the only hair loss treatment that is guaranteed to prevent hair-loss and regrow new hair?

The only natural treatment which has been guaranteed to work is Provillus. It has been designed to:

1. Prevent losing hair by blocking the testosterone byproduct known as DHT.

2. And regrowing new hair by increasing oxygen, nutrient and blood flow to the problem follicles, while activating other dormant ones.

Neglecting the initial cause of hair loss can prove ineffective once short term treatments such as laser treatments are completed.

Hair Regrowth Shampoo - How It Works

By Taira Granley

Hair regrowth shampoos are an alternative treatment to drugs and chemical formulas used for hair loss. Since some hair loss sufferers who use FDA approved formulas experience unwanted side effects, there are many reputable companies that offer hair restore products and treatments that are based on plant and herbal extracts. When choosing these products you are looking for those that inhibit the production of DHT on your scalp. Now, why is DHT so important to know about?

DHT, or Dihydrotestosterone, is produced by the body when the hormone testosterone and an enzyme called 5 alpha reductase combine. Another hormone called androgen, which is known to have a significant impact on the growth of hair on the body, is adversely affected by DHT. When the two mix, the common result is hair loss. Both men and women have these hormones and enzymes naturally occurring in their systems. Hormonal changes in the body frequently alter the metabolism of these hormones, which can result in male hair loss beginning in the early years, and women may experience hair loss in later years as they approach menopause.

Hair follicles need to be nourished to grow healthy hair. When DHT is present in abundance on the scalp, it tends to prevent the vitamins, minerals and proteins from being delivered to the hair follicle. When the hair follicles are deprived of nourishment they tend to reproduce more slowly and the growing phase for the follicles may be shortened. Eventually the follicle gets smaller and the hair ultimately falls out.

The hair restore products you choose need to do three things:

1. Contain ingredients known to inhibit DHT on the scalp

2. Keep hair follicle pores from becoming clogged

3. Nourish the hair follicles with nutrients that stimulate growth

Effective hair regrowth shampoos contain ingredients that are natural DHT blockers and are typically very mild. These shampoos focus on cleansing your scalp and nourishing the hair follicles. Since many of them are made from the most natural ingredients, they tend to be non-toxic and provide much needed amino acids, proteins and minerals that your body needs to grow healthy hair. Another bonus is that these natural shampoos do not leave harmful residues on your scalp which contribute to blocked hair follicle pores.

After rigorous testing, the FDA has approved two ingredients as proven DHT blockers and new hair regrowth stimulators. They are finasteride and minoxidil; however, while many people are concerned about the side effects of these ingredients, they are wary of natural products that make similar claims for hair regrowth. Many plants and plant derivatives have been used to maintain healthy hair and scalps in humans since ancient times. The fact that no one wants to pay the FDA to test these un-patentable plants in the same way it has tested finasteride and minoxidil, does not mean that the properties in these plants is not effective for hair growth. Many people experience beneficial results from the use of plant based hair restore products.

Some natural ingredients to look for in hair restore products are Saw Palmetto. Saw Palmetto is a plant whose mechanism works similarly to finasteride in that it is a natural 5 alpha reductase inhibitor and stops the conversion of testosterone to DHT. Essential oils of lavender and rosemary have been used in hair preparations since ancient times. Nettles and bay have a history of use for restoring dull lifeless hair and treating dandruff. Tea tree oil is a very popular remedy for a number of ailments and contains anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties needed for a healthy scalp.

Use common sense when reading the claims of the various natural hair regrowth products, shampoos and scalp treatments. There are a number of reputable manufacturers of these natural, plant based products who will provide independent study information to support the efficacy of the ingredients they use in their products. You may discover that your body responds more favorably with one product over another. Because of the relative low cost of many of these preparations, it is affordable to try several of them before settling on a particular product that you want to use regularly.

Hair Transplant For Young Men

By Jessica Biel

When individuals think about hair loss, of course the initial thing that comes to mind is an old man but I am a thirty year old male and my scalp is clearly visible, especially when it is sunny out. It was devastating for this group of young people since their hairlines were reducing, balding, and starting to fade while they were in their teen years but now the process is being made accessible for young men - but with limitations. As hair loss at a very young age is so stressful, hair transfer surgeons are disinclined to concur with a patient's spur of the moment decision. After an in-depth interview, the physician will do everything in his power to put off the surgical operation. Many doctors won't do a hair transplant right away and will suggest one last visit about six months down the road.

There are benefits of having hair transplant surgical process when you are younger than twenty five years old because the majority of these individuals are in good health and don't generally require any medicine. They are generally positive and have the inspiration that is necessary to be committed to a situation that may have to be taken care of all of their life. Getting a Hair transfer can resolve numerous psychological issue such as low self esteem and low self self-confidence. Older people's attitude are already established that it takes time to change it.

A surgeon expert in performing hair transfer procedures on younger recipients will be sure to look into prior to taking on this task. The doctor will ask to the members of the family to assess their balding and how the young individual might inherit hair when family members cannot be around, a doctor might ask for pictures.

When working with young individuals getting hair transplant surgeries one trick physicians utilized is guiding them in setting the hairline. Often a younger personal desires a lower hairline since he recalls how it looked in the recent past and wants that look back. Yet, a good hair transfer surgeon will discourage a low hairline and instead, will campaign for a higher hairline and there are several advantages to this. One is that, with less top hair to cover, more donor hair will be maintained and since the young patient will be dealing with this problem for a long time, this is a necessary circumstance.

When the operating surgeon executing the hair transplant procedure achieves a higher hairline, there is a smaller amount to cover as he or she is able to get more fulless at the top of the head. This doesn't mean the young individual's hairline will be returning after the procedure stops, only that the hairline won't be very low. There is no reason for young people to enter maturity without a full head of hair if they can get a hair transfer. This choice is currently available to them and is sure to please a lot of young men.

When Is Hair Loss Normal?

By Ingrid Gillette-Palmer

When is hair loss normal? Have you ever brushed your hair and noticed that several strands were left in the brush? This is one type of normal "shedding." About 10% of our hair will fall out naturally. There are cases of excessive hair loss and several different causes for it.

Sometimes when a person has surgery or an extensive illness, excessive hair will fall out. It usually happens about three or four months after the event. It is temporary and is caused by the stress that the illness had on your body.

Hormonal imbalances frequently cause excessive hair loss. This can occur when estrogen or androgen is too low. Another disease which causes hormonal imbalance is thyroid disease. This can be caused from an overactive or under active thyroid gland. All of these ailments can be controlled with the proper medication.

Sometimes infections can cause hair loss. Some children develop a fungal scalp infection that causes their hair to fall out. Fungal infections can be treated with anti-fungal medication and this will halt the hair loss. It will take time for the hair to grow back. It takes your hair approximately two to six years to complete the growth cycle.

Some medications are very harsh and also cause hair loss. Anticoagulants, medication for gout, and birth control pills can cause this to occur. Once you stop taking the medication, this will improve. Chemotherapy drugs are also a factor in excessive hair loss.

Shedding a few hairs on a daily basis is completely natural. If you are experiencing excessive hair loss, there is usually a medical reason for it. Consulting a doctor will help get your questions answered. Sometimes when people grow older, their hair thins out or baldness occurs. This is hereditary and is unavoidable. Again, your doctor can advise you about this condition. There are several new treatments available to help halt this process.

How Do You Recognize Male Pattern Baldness And How Do You You Treat It?

By Peter Albertson

The chances of balding in men are particularly high and somewhere around half of all men will suffer from balding at some stage during their life. Balding in men is usually the result of a condition called male pattern balding. What are the signs and symptoms of male pattern baldness and what are the stages of its progression?

Pattern baldness in men is an inherited condition which predisposes you to some degree of thinning hair. Hair thinning in men progresses gradually from the point where it is virtually unnoticeable right through for some to complete baldness. It usually starts with a slightly receding hairline at the front.

At the same time the man may be experiencing hair thinning on the crown of his head but it will not be sufficiently noticeable. However the receding hairline will progress to the stage where it is clear that he is developing advancing balding including a bald spot on the crown of his head.

Gradually the baldness in both places advances until, in all likelihood, he develops a complete bald spot on the crown of the head. By this stage the receding hairline should be well developed and gradually the 2 grow together until they join up to produce baldness from the front to the crown of the head.

And for some continue this will until there is only a gradual horseshoe of hair left around the back and sides of the head.

This is the general progression for men suffering from male pattern baldness but might not describe how it works for you. It's hard to say before it happens exactly how male pattern baldness will affect any one individual. Some men are lucky and have less balding.

The actual mechanism by which male pattern baldness causes the hair to fall out is known. A male hormone called DHT restricts the ability of hair follicles to absorb nutrients and the hair follicles shrink causing the hair to weaken and die prematurely.

There are 2 FDA approved treatments for the treatment of male pattern baldness. Minoxidil is one and it is thought that it works by improving the blood supply to hair follicles which in turn allows them to access more nutrients and thereby grow better.

Minoxidil on its own seems to be effective but a more effective approach is to include a range of essential hair nutrients combined with minoxidil which means that those nutrients will be available in the blood supply.

Finasteride, usually called Propecia, is the other FDA approved product and it also works to promote hair regrowth but has significant side-effects, often in loss of libido.

Whilst there are 2 approved products neither will work for everyone and you need to commit to at least 6 months use and preferably 12 months use to see if they work for you.

So that's how male pattern balding progresses and what you can do about it. Minoxidil combined with essential hair nutrients is the best male hair loss treatment and you can find out where to get it on my website.

What Options Do You Have When Looking For Products For Thinning Hair?

By Peter Albertson

Up to half of all men and a quarter of all women will suffer from some form of balding during their life. Some people consider baldness in men to be fashionable but no one considers female baldness to be fashionable. So the market for thinning hair products is massive and there are plenty looking for the best product for thinning hair. Lets consider the options you have when searching for products for thinning hair.

First of all let's consider the causes of hair loss. But first let's talk about the causes of thinning hair. It is thought that the vast majority of men and women, up to 95 percent, have an inherited condition called pattern baldness. You inherit pattern baldness from previous members of your family and it means that you are predisposed genetically to some degree of baldness. There is both male pattern baldness and female pattern baldness and whilst the effect on men and women from this condition can be slightly different the method by which it causes the balding is the same. A hormone called DHT slowly limits the capacity of hair follicles to take up essential hair nutrients thereby resulting in the hair thinning and weakening and eventually dying.

There is a massive market for products or thinning hair and of course where there is a big market there will be plenty of products. If you search Google for a product for thinning hair you'll find a huge number of conditioners, shampoos, lotions, potions, vitamins minerals all promoted as thinning hair products. But sadly the most likely result you will get from using these products is to empty your wallet.

The reality is that there is only 2 products for thinning hair that are approved by the FDA for use as a balding treatment. The first is finasteride, marketed as Propecia, which is a prescription only balding treatment. Minoxidil is the second and is found under a range of different names. Both minoxidil and finasteride are approved for use as a balding treatment for men however it is only minoxidil that is FDA approved as a balding treatment to women because studies have shown that the use of finasteride by women can have unpleasant side effects.

Neither minoxidil or finasteride were designed as hair loss treatments, minoxidil was originally a blood pressure treatment and finasteride a prostate treatment. But in both cases studies show that subjects who used to product exhibited an increase in growth of their hair and so further studies were done on use of the product as a balding treatment. And good results were achieved for both.

There's many products to choose from if you're in need of a good thinning hair treatment. There is only the 2 products mentioned above that are approved by the FDA as baldness treatments and none of the others are approved so use them at your own risk.

It is also true to say that neither of the 2 approved products mentioned work for everybody. Equally the degree of hair regrowth you experience may differ from that experienced by another user. And it is also very important to understand that even if you use one of the 2 products approved for use it may take quite some time before you can see any regrowth of hair and you should commit to a minimum of 6 months, and preferably 12 months, before you are prepared to make a judgement on whether they are working for you. But both of these thinning hair treatments are effective.

The cause of the hair loss is the same, namely that the hair dies because the DHT limits it's available nutrients. It is thought that minoxidil as the effect of increasing the supply of blood to the follicle which in turn allows it to take up more nutrients. And one company has decided that it is a better approach to supply minoxidil together with a whole range of natural hair nutrients so that the nutrients are available to the follicle when it can take them up.

This approach makes sense and would seem to be more effective than simply using minoxidil by itself. It does make sense that it lack of nutrients causes hair loss that supplying all hair nutrients and increasing the capacity of the follicle to absorb them must work better.

To find out more about the best hair loss product combining minoxidil with a whole range of important hair nutrients visit my website.

Natural Hair Loss And Its Natural Remedies

By John Farikani

Do you feel your hair falls too much? Are the pharmacological solutions having too many side effects? If your answer is yes, I am happy to share some of the natural remedies that have been proven to work on natural hair loss for both the genders. These methods are much better options than expensive transplants.

Massaging with finger tips is the basic method to stimulate your scalp. I use pure ingredients like four ounces of sesame oil mixed with six drops of lavender and bay essential oils. This method is quite effective, but make sure that you keep your hair open for about half an hour before washing off.

I am surprised to find that many people still don't know about the numerous natural techniques of treating natural hair loss. Do you want to know these secrets? The proper use of the right ingredient is all that is there to it.

Aroma therapy is one good method in which you get double advantages of aroma inhalation and oil absorption. It uses distilled oils of wood, jojoba, bay, lime, lavender, etc. That help to reduce the natural hair loss. On another side, the anti androgens properties of saw palmetto have been found to be especially effective to treat hair loss for men with prostrate problems.

The Chinese formula of a mixture of honey, aloe, brahmi and mulberries, etc. Is found to be a good natural medicine to control hair loss. Similarly, there are many remedies for natural hair loss mentioned in the school of Ayurveda, which utilizes massaging oil and oral intakes. Homeopathy takes a little longer but it really brings lasting results. It makes use of distilled organic products for the healing.

Having used all these methods, one thing to always keep in mind is that natural hair loss also depends on your food habit and hereditary. Even though, hereditary is something you don't have any control over, you can certainly change the dietary patterns into foods rich in calcium, silica and iron. Without proper nutrition, no amount of treatment will give its full benefit.

Things That Cause Women's Hair Loss

By Steve Glide

Hair loss can be upsetting for anyone but think of how a woman feels when it happens to them. Most women try to maintain the look of their hair as it is a large part of their overall appearance. When they have hair loss many of them are very despondent. There are things that can cause this to happen more often than others and we will talk about a few of them now.

Our bodies require vitamins and other nutrients in order to thrive. Our hair works in the same manner as this and iron plays a vital role in hair growth. If for some reason you have low levels of iron in your system it can be your hair that suffers. Thinning hair and hair loss can be quite common for women that have low iron.

Having your iron checked by your doctor can help determine this and a course of treatment can be determined from that point.

Menopause can also be known to cause hair loss in women. The changes of the estrogen in the body can affect many things and your hair is not exempt from being one of them. Once this is determined to be the cause and corrective action has been taken, the hair loss stops and things generally return to normal. This can also be found to happen in women after giving birth, but usually corrects itself over the course of a few months.

Undergoing surgery and other very situations that cause a large amount of stress can also cause hair loss for women. Most of the time once the surgery and recovery period has elapsed, the hair will return to its previous state. Your doctor can help you with this as well, as he will be monitoring your post surgery condition to make sure that there are no major complications that develop as well.

Many women are put on certain medications for one reason or another. Some of these can have hair loss as a side effect of taking them. It is not known if this will be the case until the person starts the medication though. If a side effect like hair loss presents itself then the person needs to contact the doctor to see what alternative may be available to them. There are times that the hair loss due to medication may only be a temporary thing but this still needs to be discussed with a doctor to make sure that this is the case.

There are other things that do cause hair loss as well, but these are quite often the main causes for it. Discussing the situation with your doctor is essential if you want to get to the root of the problem.

My Response To Hair Loss Testimonials

By John Farikani

Have you ever felt like people were laughing at you? I know that feeling all too well. I was the one that people were laughing at. My hair loss testimonials always began with people laughing.

People always wondered what caused my hair to start falling out at an early age. At one time I wished I knew. It was hard to imagine what would cause a thirty year old woman's hair to fall out. Then I went to my doctor and he gave me the answer.

Have you ever had your thyroid checked out? I never thought about having that done. But that is where my hair loss testimonials begin. I went through a series of tests to find out what could be the cause. Then it was determined.

Hormones can play a huge role in our bodies. As teenagers, we are made to love hormones. They help us grow and mature to become the men and women we are made to be. For some of us though, hormones can be demons.

I was losing hair due to the iron that my body was lacking. I had put off and put off the doctor. It was the mean person that would ell me bad news that I was shying away from. I wish I hadn't.

While you might not think anything about it, hair loss can be quite a dangerous thing. If you don't look into why it is happening, you might not see what is really causing hair loss. Some have the hair loss testimonials because they get it form their mom's for me though, it was hormones. Get it checked.

A Loss Of Hair Treatment That Has Taken Years Off Me.

By John Farikani

I was so upset when it was pointed out to me that I had a bald patch coming at the back of my head, ok it was something that I could not see myself without the use of two mirrors, but everyone else could and I knew that the problem was going to get worse. I take it as you are reading this you have been through the same thing. This is the reason why I want to let you know that you are not alone and the there is a natural loss of hair treatment that can give you what has been cruelly taken away.

I thought that I would not have to worry about losing my hair until I was a lot older, not at 45. It was actually my granddaughter who pointed out the fact I was losing my hair at the back of my head. I laughed it off of course, it was not her fault, but I did want to do something about it before the problem got any worse.

What would you have done in that situation? Well I just laughed it off, but I don't know how well I did at hiding my embarrassment. I decided something had to be done, so I looked into the hair loss treatments available.

The one thing I did not want was some highly advertised gimmick. I wanted a product that had proven results and would not be filled with chemicals that could possibly cause more problems; my vanity would not get in the way of my health. Luckily I found what I was looking for.

I found a product called Monoxidil and it was totally natural, just what I wanted. I found out that the reason behind most people losing their hair was that they had large amount of a hormone called DHT in their body, it ran through the blood stream and starved the hair follicles so that they became weak and eventually died. Within a few weeks of taking it my scalp began to produce new hair, and over time the hair became thicker and the rest of the hair on my head benefited too, as there are vitamins and minerals in it that make your hair healthy.

My granddaughter was the first to notice, and after that I wanted to shout out to the world that I had found my own personal time machine that had given me back my hair. If like me you have started to lose your hair this is a great way to get it back, but if you have left it so that there are only a few hairs left then the products will not work for you as they work on reviving the hair follicles and you cannot do so if the majority of them have already died.

Is Your Hair Starting To Thin Out? Examine All Hair Loss Prevention Strategies First

By John Farikani

Hair loss prevention strategies and what they can mean for you might just mean that there will be no need to resort to surgeries or other risky procedures in order to prevent the effects of pattern baldness or receding hairlines from dragging down the outlook of most men and women. It's true that such loss affects women, though men seem to suffer from it in far greater numbers.

For a fact, there's just about no man around who doesn't have a story about himself or a friend who began lose his hair at a young age. This hair loss has caused that friend to look 15 or even 20 years older than he really is. Now, it seems fairly certain that no one wants to look older than is the case and a good solution is available and that can help prevent significant loss before it begins.

Imagine if there was a relatively simple strategy for preventing the loss of hair and that it didn't involve super-scary chemicals with very long names that no one can pronounce and that has the potential to take paint off of a car if left on the finish long enough. If there were such a solution that didn't do this it would probably be worth a lot as long as it really worked as described.

Happily, men and women today can avail themselves of such a system and the compounds that go with it, and they will be just as pleased to know that it uses mostly completely natural herbs, vitamins and minerals in addition to a single FDA-approved substance that helps to keep the scalp from closing off hair follicles which eventually fall out and never regrow.

This sort of system is actually relatively simple to utilize and only requires the taking of a supplement pill twice a day along with a few drops of a compound that contains the miracle of hair regrowth drug called Minoxidil in order to deliver the result that men and women need, which is gradual restoration of hair to a scalp which was once thought incapable of growing it ever again.

Such formulas, however, are not to be taken lightly and should always be used exactly as directed. However, with so little drawback and so much potential benefit, it's hard to see how these new formulations can't be anything but a good thing.

Are You Considering Hair Loss Surgery? Know What It Entails Beforehand

By John Farikani

Taking advantage of hair loss surgery and knowing what is involved in such a procedure is highly recommended. Understand that just about every male on the planet will experience some form of hair loss at one time or another. Also understand that even females can be afflicted by pattern baldness or thinning, though males seem to experience it in higher numbers, regardless of what their race or age is.

The fact is, some amount of hair loss is going to afflict just about every man without exception at one point or another in his life and a receding hairline is usually an unavoidable occurrence. This is the case with just about every man no matter who he is.

For those who might not relish the idea of something like hair loss surgery -- mistakenly believing it to be hugely complicated and wildly expensive -- and would instead prefer to go with creams or gels, they should understand that those creams need to be applied every day for the rest of their life. Given that, most men would say that a surgery might just be the preferred solution.

This is why more and more men are considering this type of surgery as a first resort rather than a last resort, and you would be surprised how many males out there that are very famous and instantly recognizable have gone with procedures of this sort as a way to regain quickly the full, thick head of hair they were famous for when they first hit it big.

The secret to much of this is that celebrities and other famous men have a plan right from the beginning, before they even experience the loss of a single strand of hair. Many know that receding hairlines or thinning scalps are a fact of life and have set up a series of steps before hand -- including replacement surgeries -- in order to ensure the hair that made them famous remains on their heads.

Hair loss surgery can be a powerful solution to the problem of pattern baldness or receding hairlines and it is generally wildly successful for most any man. However, as with all such surgeries a person should take care to understand the benefits (which are many) as well as the drawbacks (which are very, very few) when undergoing such procedures. However, this sort of surgery should looked upon as a blessing for most men.

Female Hair Loss - Start Stimulating And Nourishing Your Hair Follicles Today

By John Farikani

The hair is usually a women's crown of glory and just like the body needs to have nutrients to keep your hair string and healthy or you will suffer female hair loss. Besides one has to also make sure the food you are taking in contains the correct minerals and vitamins as well and also balanced. We all need to take added vitamins and minerals due to the hectic lives most people lead especially women who most time hold a day job, look after children, and run a home full time.

Doctors are frequented regularly in the hope they can cure the hair loss condition. They in turn ask about your diet and what medications you are taking, if there have been any recent illnesses and the type of hygiene used to keep your scalp healthy.

Yes I know - there are so many claims to fame as far as hair creams and shampoos and oils and so we go, and none of them work. I have heard women stating this fact time and again. The fact remains that women start losing hair around the age of 30 and is more prominent around 40 and when menopause stops hair loss is more noticeable.

Depending on what type of hair loss you have, will depend entirely on what kind of treatment can be used. For instance if a certain medication you are on is causing your hair to fall out, then the doctor needs to change the medication. Should there be an infection of sorts causing hair loss then a treatment will be prescribed in order to combat the condition. And if it is hormonal, then the hormones need to be put back into balance again and again with medication.

Natural hair treatments have been formulated to treat and gently eliminated the scalp of residual build up with natural alpha hydroxyl, chamomile, nettle and Aloe Vera extracts restoring moisture to the scalp and hair as well as elimination of any further damage to the hair. You need to use both the shampoo as well as the cream together to obtain the desired effect. This kind of treatment makes perfect sense.

People that suffer with fungal infection as well as severe dandruff can also suffer hair loss as well as those that suffer from psoriasis. This can be treated with an antifungal cream with more or less good results depending on the severity of the fungal infection. Lupus and diabetic patients seem to suffer hair loss as well and others that have underlying disease, hair loss definitely indicates that there is something wrong.

Yes I know the fads - but I do know that natural products produce results but if you do not find out what the cause of your hair loss is then you will wind up stating that natural products do not work either. In order to treat the symptom you need to know what the cause is. And once you find out what the cause of your hair loss is then only will the healing begin.

This formula contains Saw Palmetto which is an exceptionally potent ingredient and prevents the conversion of testosterone to DHT as well as nettle root extract which has shown that it inhibits the activity of type II 5-alpha reductase. Once these levels are within normal range again, new hair growth will begin. Go online and research this product which I think is well worth trying.

By John Farikani

Many people begin to notice changes in their appearance when they approach 40. Of course, these changes occur gradually, but show more at middle age. In fact, that is when most become more interested in health issues, diet and natural treatments. Do you agree that it is simpler to care for something you have while it is in good condition, or try to repair it when it is needed. The majority of Americans are growing tired of medication and start searching for what kinds of natural remedies for hair loss are available.

Although hair loss in men is the most common, did you know that women can also experience it? It's true. In men, it is called male pattern baldness and it starts with them noticing more hair on the bed, the sink and the comb.

With women, it is known as female-pattern baldness. It is different from the pattern baldness that men get as theirs is typically where the hair thins on the top of the scalp, rarely falling out completely. With women, it is usually a hormonal change, as with pregnancy or menopause.

Previously, the only way to resolve this problem was with changing the hair style to make it less apparent. Thankfully, nowadays there are various ways to resolve this issue.

There are hair transplants that can be quite costly, but have improved greatly in recent years. In addition to that, there are hair weaves which are very life-like, costly, but don't solve the problem. Other products on the market that can work are solutions that are applied and massaged directly onto the scalp. They promise to regrow hair and do work for some but it is important that they are introduced as quickly as possible.

You can also use a natural hair loss remedy as well. This one comes in the form of a topical solution but is meant to be used in combination with supplements that are meant to strengthen remaining hair and promote regrowth. Every situation is different and can work on some but not necessarily on everyone. For example, a man who has lost most of his hair and a horseshoe remains, will not likely have good results.

The Biggest Question Of Balding Men. Does Minoxidil Work?

By Peter Albertson

Around 4 in 7 will be extremely interested in the answer to the question does minoxidil work. Around 4 in 7 men are expected to experience male pattern baldness commencing at some stage in their life and those men may well be looking for an effective hair loss treatment.

Many of these men would consider buying minoxidil because it is one of only 2 products that the FDA has approved for use as a baldness treatment. The other is finasteride which is marketed under the brand name Propecia and this is recommended for use as a balding treatment for men only. Minoxidil is the only hair loss product approved by the FDA for use by women.

So it makes sense to ask the question does minoxidil work before you decide to buy minoxidil for your thinning hair. Unfortunately it is not entirely clear, the answer is yes and no. Clearly minoxidil works, if it did not work the FDA would not have approved it for use as a treatment for thinning hair. But it is also fair to say that not everybody finds that minoxidil works for them.

Studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of minoxidil in cases of balding, for example in the April 2004 edition of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. There are 2 strengths that are available, 2% and 5% and it is generally thought, and backed up by studies, that the 5% solution is more effective, including for women even though it is only the 2% solution that is recommended for them.

However there are some more considerations to take into account when considering whether you should buy minoxidil. An example is that whilst minoxidil is known to work on the top and apex of the scalp it is generally not considered to work on a receding hairline at the front. And it is equally important to understand that whilst it may work for you you must continue using it to maintain their hair regrowth and that discontinuing use will recommence the advancing problem of thinning hair.

It is also important to understand that it takes some time for the effects of applying minoxidil to be seen and many people who maintain that it did not work for them probably discontinued use too early. It can take from 2 to 4 and anywhere up to 6 or more months before the results are noticeable and even if it's working for you the results are not fast.

However it's equally true to say that there is no hair loss product including finasteride that works for everybody, works all over the head and which works even after use is discontinued.

One very clever company has combined the use of minoxidil with a supply of essential hair nutrients to give users the maximum chance of minoxidil being effective for them. Even for men with male pattern baldness the reason they are losing their hair is to do with poor take-up of nutrients by the hair and so combining essential hair nutrients with minoxidil maximises the possibility of optimum hair health.

So what is the answer the question does minoxidil work? Yes it works but not for all and with some qualifications. But if your hair is gradually thinning it is very worthwhile giving minoxidil a try.

Hair Loss Treatment For Women That Actually Works.

By John Farikani

Can I share my secret with you? Many women around the world suffer from hair loss and the reasons behind it can vary. It can happen at any age and means that the versatility we once had in styling has now gone and we are reduced to having to wear hats or have a style that hides the patches. This is the reason I would like to share my secret with you about hair loss treatment for women.

It began one evening when I was getting ready to go to dinner with my husband. I has noticed over many months that my husband was always complaining about the shower drain being blocked and the amount of hair he had to remove before the water would flow freely, my brush was also constantly clogged up, but this evening was the worst yet when I was pulling my hair back into a style and felt flesh where there was once a heedful of hair, in the end I was so upset I ended up staying in.

I knew that I could not go on like this, one upset after the other, not being able to style my hair the way I always had. The best thing I decided was to look into the hair loss treatments available for women that had worked for others, and continued to do so over time. I was amazed to find that in most cases the reason for hair loss was down to a hormone in the blood stream called DHT. But I found a way to stop this nasty hormone and get my hair back.

What I found was Monoxidil. It worked naturally with my body, rather than against it and helped to reduce the amount of DHT that was in my blood stream. I began to notice that where had one been thinning hair that new thin hair started to grow, and then over time it began to thicken and get stronger. The nutrients that it also contained meant that the new hair as well as the hair that was there before was in better condition than it had been in a long time, and were a lot stronger too.

What I need to tell you though is that if most of your hair is gone then this treatment is not the one for you, it works best on women who have more hair than they have patches, and has given great results to both myself and other women worldwide.

The solution was easier than I could have imagined, and I did not have to go through any painful surgical procedure. It was just a couple of tablets a day and one dropper of the ointment.

What Are The Causes Of Baldness In Women And Can You Reverse It?

By Peter Bertonich

The causes of baldness in men are known, however it's true to say that many women also experience thinning hair. What causes baldness in women and what do you do about it?

There's many causes of thinning hair in women. For example a medical condition can cause a woman to have thinning hair. Childbirth can also cause female balding. Estimates are that around 30% or more of women can experience some thinning of their hair during menopause.

If you're hair loss is sudden or patchy should consult your doctor. There are medical conditions that cause hair loss in women and where hair loss is experience this can be an indication of a more serious medical problem.

There are also some medication that can cause baldness in women. Chemotherapy is an example.

In most cases the signs of balding in women will reverse themselves once the underlying problem is reversed. After childbirth, or after menopause, or after the medical condition is treated successfully hair growth should restore.

However the vast majority of cases of female baldness are caused by the same genetic condition as is the case for men. This is a condition called androgenetic alopecia, or female pattern baldness. The result of androgenetic alopecia, which you inherit, is that your hair follicles will shrivel and your hair will thin and die prematurely and eventually fall out. Normally all hair dies but it is also usually replaced with healthy hair but this is not the case if you have female pattern baldness.

It is estimated that somewhere around 90% of women who suffer thinning hair do so as a result of female pattern baldness. The cause of the problem is that a hormone will restrict nutrients supply to the hair.

Is there anything you can do? There are 2 products, minoxidil and finasteride approved by the FDA has hair loss products for men. But only minoxidil is approved by the FDA for use to treat thinning hair in women. Whilst minoxidil is approved for men at a 2% and 5% solution it is only approved for use by women at a 2% solution.

The studies have shown that minoxidil as effective as a hair loss treatment for women. But it does not work for everybody and in fact there is no hair loss treatment that works for everybody.

The best hair loss treatment for women experiencing female balding combines the use of minoxidil at 2% with the range of natural essential hair nutrients to maximize the chances of the treatment working and the hair regaining health.

So the answer to our initial question of what causes baldness in women is that in over 90 percent of cases the cause of hair loss in women is the inherited condition female pattern baldness. And whilst it has been shown that minoxidil at 2% works to treat hair loss in women the best way to use it is to combine it with a range of essential hair nutrients.

If you've got female pattern baldness and would like to find a product that combines minoxidil with other hair nutrients visit my website.
