Hair today Gone Tommorrow

Balding is not something anyone would look forward to. Even though we are unable to stop aging we can help ourselves when it comes to hair loss.

Our hair does get thinner as we age and more for some than others but with today's medications and creams etc we may be able to slow this down.

I have looked into many hair loss remedies and have found some that are better than others in how they say the can slow down hair loss and some even say they will help your existing hair grow more and stronger. I do not know about that but have heard of some of the good some of them do.

Solutions For Hair Loss In Women Saint Louis

By Marsha Silva

Men who lose their hair have no problem being socially acceptable. The look is considered masculine, and some people actually shave their heads to make this fashion statement. Unfortunately, the same is not true for females. Hair loss in women Saint Louis remains a closeted condition, and is rarely discussed with candor. Naturally bald females receive little encouragement, and are invisible in pop culture.

There is no medical cure for the condition, only treatment. It does not normally signify the onset of any particular disease. The implications socially are much more detrimental and harmful than the actual physical manifestation. Oftentimes, the outcome is psychological distress resulting from being politely ostracized. Self-esteem can plummet, even in this era of equal rights for all.

The growth of human follicles is slow but steady, usually gaining around one-half inch each month. Each follicle will function normally for a few years. Eventually, it wears out biologically, stops growing, and is discarded and replaced. In cases of pattern baldness, nothing takes its place. Among females, progressive thinning is normally a combination of inherited genes, changing hormonal levels, and overall aging.

When it happens, the visual result is often somewhat different from the kind of baldness experienced by many men. Rather than that telltale empty patch on the crown, or a rapidly receding forehead line, shafts may be thinly but uniformly distributed equally on the head. Unlike masculine loss patterns, near-complete baldness does not often occur, but rather an overall thinning process.

Left alone, this condition will never go away or reverse itself. While some older women accept this look as one more sign of the inevitability of aging, others are not so readily willing to accept nature's course. Some choose to stimulate regrowth by undergoing treatments with the chemical minoxidil.

Chemical treatment is truly successful in only about one quarter of the females who use it. Once begun, the FDA-approved drug must be applied to the scalp on a regular basis, or the benefits will cease. Not so with surgical transplants. This process has grown increasingly successful, and utilizes the latest methods of surgically re-situating follicular plugs wherever needed.

Not everyone wants to undergo small surgeries or apply chemical treatments daily. Other workable options include excellent-quality wigs or expertly installed weaves. Sometimes even a shorter cut gives a fuller look. Hair loss in women Saint Louis will probably never be socially desirable, but there are acceptable and increasingly hard-to-detect ways of making that condition much easier to live with.
