Many religious groups have been formed since time immemorial, and even new ones continue to sprout everywhere. Regardless of their number though, they all believe about a God who controls everything in the world. That's why populations are called for holy living in the end times to preserve themselves from the effects of evil.
There is no certainty as to when the final day of judgment would happen. According to Matthew's gospel, the coming of God would be like a thief in the night. There is no telling when it would be but Christians are called to be vigilant and alert for it.
It is undeniable that many a tribulation has happened in the world. Several wars, acts of terrorism, crimes and even natural calamities have prompted many to believe they are signs of judgment. They can be, but people must know what to believe in and which ones not to.
There are so many things people can still do to turn away from the immoralities of the present world. One way of doing so is to help the needy populations across the globe. There are many affluent nations but there are more poverty stricken ones who can be assisted by the former.
By properly allocating the resources of the world, the needy can be helped in acquiring sufficient means to survive. If everyone joins hands to preserve nature better by living simple lives, there is a high chance we can avoid the drastic changes in global climate. If each nation would make peace with one another, wars and death of the innocent can be prevented.
But then again, there is always greed. Man always has the instinct to accumulate whatever it is he finds useful in his life without thinking of sharing it to others. Money, prestige and power are just among the many things a person could want. If this mentality continues, then evil could not be overcome.
Indeed, it is a big challenge to be called for holy living in the end times. Man has to conquer himself first in order to create order in the society. But by starting in little ways and having the right faith in God, all things can be made possible.
