Causes Of Baldness In Women

By John Farikani

Have you found that you are balding? You might be wondering how this could be. Many people think that only men bald, but really, in recent years there have been studies done on baldness in women. Through the research that has been done, we have a better understanding of why women bald. Here are just a few of those.

For starters when it comes to baldness in women, there have been a lot of studies done. One of them studies that have been conducted is the amount of hormones that a woman has when she is experiencing the hair loss. One reason that many women experience a loss of hair is due to too much testosterone.

Yet another thing that scientists have recently learned can cause the increase in baldness is the fact that many women are diagnosed with a thyroid disease. Many people find that when they have issues with their thyroid, anything can be wrong and be associated with that. Baldness in women is just one of them things.

Another thing that can cause baldness in women is the hair ties that they wear. Women love being able to create new hair dos. They love wearing their hair on top of their head in a pony tail. However, if you tighten the rubber band too tight, it can cause you to lose your hair. The same is true with twisting it into braids and around your finger. All of these are used to create great hairstyles.

As there are many things that can be linked we have found yet another one. This one pertains to the medications any woman might be taking. Some of them do tell that one side effect is the shedding of hair. Cancer treatments are known to do this as well.

While an overactive thyroid can cause baldness, there are other diseases as well that can having the same effect. For instance, those that deal with anemia might find that they tend to start balding. While balding is not fun, if it is because of a disease, something could be done about it.

As you can see, there are many causes for baldness in women. A woman might not ever know what causes it. There are treatments though. So, keep your head up and do not worry too much. It is something that happened to nine out of ten women daily. Thus, you are not alone. There are many treatment options out there. So, seek help and find out.

Female Hair Loss Remedy Solutions - Discovering Your Top 3 Options

By Irina Thorton

It has been discovered that up to half of women undergo female pattern hair loss during their lifetime. Women who experience hair loss or thinning of hair can feel embarrassed and anxious. When the problem of hair loss in women is left untreated, it often becomes worse. But with the available methods and treatments specifically developed for the condition, they need not undergo such experiences. Here are three female hair loss remedy options that can help women deal with this problem.

Finasteride

One remedy known to work for men is Finasteride (propecia). Recently though, been found to treat the same problem in women when combined with oral contraceptives. Propecia has some side effects, albeit only 3%. Often, these side effects subside after constant use.

Finasteride works by blocking 5-alpha reductase, which is an enzyme that converts testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT, which is the main cause of hair loss, binds to hair follicles, thereby restricting the ability of follicles to generate new and fully grown hair. If not treated, the bound follicles can only produce shorter hair for every growth cycle until such time when it is only capable of generating hair thats barely visible. What finasteride does is to stop the conversion of testesterone into DHT, thereby stopping DHT from binding to the follicles.

Minoxidil

Minoxidil, a medication typically applied to scalp to encourage hair growth, is another commonly used remedy. Minoxidil is for daily use. The positive effects often appear in 2-4 months.

Albeit some people would prefer to do away with using minoxidil, it does not change the fact that minoxidil is very effective in remedying the problem. The effect of this is more pronounced when it is used together with DHT inhibitors like propecia. When it comes to strength, a study shows that minoxidil 2% is effective for women as compared to 5%. The conclusion was drawn when this showed better effects at 2% than in the 5% concentration.

Another treatment is a combination of several topical creams. One treatment that is currently being used is a combination of a high concentration topical minoxidil, retonic acid, a topical spironolactone (or an anti-androgen that diminishes DHT), and a topical azelaic acid. It is recommended that a daily oral dose of finasteride be taken together with the regimen.

DHT Inhibitors

There are also remedies with DHT inhibiting capabilities. There are products with DHT inhibitors that are specifically made to address the problem in women. DHT inhibitors may be added with active ingredients like phyto-revitalizers that can also help deal with the condition.

DHT is a hormone produced by the body that causes damage to hair follicles. When the DHT is inhibited, hair follicles are able to grow again. Meanwhile, phyto-revitalizers are amino acids that are needed by hair follicles for proper growth. When added to a female hair loss remedy, DHT inhibitors and phyto-revitalizers can have more effective results.

How Using Natural Remedies Can Help Reverse The Causes Of Balding In Women

By John Farikani

Men are certainly not the only ones that have to deal with thinning hair and baldness. Hair loss can also occur in women. There are a number of different causes of balding in women. Some of those reasons might be hormonal. Others might be because of mineral deficiencies. In some cases, it is possible for thinning hair or baldness to be reversed. Every situation is different.

Although men are more likely to be afflicted by baldness, there are an estimated 30 million women in the United States that are dealing with hair loss issues as well. It is important to note that women usually do not see bald spots as often as men do, what they notice is the gradual thinning of the hair over a period of time. But with a little bit of research it might be possible to reverse the process.

Both men and women have testosterone. One of the causes of baldness for women is actually a byproduct of testosterone called DHT or dihydrotestosterone. It is actually the cause of male pattern baldness as well. DHT actually chokes off the hair follicles, preventing them from growing hair. However, by blocking the creation of DHT, hair is able to be kept healthy.

Another one of the causes of baldness in women is not having enough of a few different important vitamins and minerals. The B vitamins along with zinc and magnesium all contribute to healthy hair. Instead of turning to expensive prescription drugs with risky side effects, using supplements that contain natural ingredients might be a better answer in some cases.

Natural substances that are in supplements and topically applied ointments can enhance healthy hair and keep DHT from forming. Without DHT, hair follicles will continue to thrive and grow. Even taking certain supplements twice a day and using a topical cream just one time a day can bring about the re-growth of hair in certain situations.

Although there are a number of causes of baldness for women, help is available if it is hormonally related. One thing to keep in mind is that hair loss gradually happens over time. Hair re-growth is not going to happen overnight, but many women find the growth process to be rather steady.

Using natural substances to stimulate thicker hair due to stress and hormonal imbalances is a viable option for most women. Although the causes of balding in women are widely varied, there is help available for many women. Natural substances such as Saw Palmetto and vitamins such as Zinc and Magnesium are known to be effective treatments for hair loss.

Thoughts All About Male Pattern Baldness And You!

By John Farikani

Male pattern baldness is something that many men experience around the world. The fact is that every adult can expect to lose about one hundred hairs per day, but most of us have these hairs replaced from common hair growth. When the hair does not grow back, baldness can occur. Many men are already defined to have male pattern baldness from their genetics. For more information all about male pattern baldness, read and consider the following facts.

The hair loss can come from different areas than simply your head, however most people are mainly concerned about the baldness affecting the hair on their head. Hair may thin slowly over time and years when developing a complete form of baldness However, most of the time, males experience only the tops of their heads balding as a result.

If you have too much DHT, or dihydrotestosterone in your body, this can cause baldness. DHT is the main reason that hair begins to thin or grows in too weakly in men. This is usually the only reason that hair loss occurs in balding. However, you can also have non-balding related hair loss from a variety of other factors such as medication, stress, or health issues. If you are concerned about the loss of hair you are experiencing, you should consult with your doctor.

Now that you know what causes balding, we should consider some myths. Tanning, wearing hats, sunbathing, and using different types of hair products does not cause balding in any form. None of these have been proven to ever cause balding.

Men can sometimes feel differently about themselves when they realize they have male pattern balding. Some can handle the balding and simply wait and allow it to happen. Other men think that they are not attractive if they are bald, or balding. The reaction really depends on the individual. Truthfully, if you are balding, it does not change how anyone feels about you.

If you decide that you do want to try to stop your balding before it worsens, there are some options. You can consider some of the many hair treatments that are available to the public. A lot of men choose to use products like Rogaine or Propecia to treat their hair loss. Others may decide to involve themselves in hair replacement surgery. The best treatment for hair loss is to treat it naturally with Saw Palmetto.

Regardless of what you choose, it is important to remember that your balding does not change who you are as a person or your interactions with your friends and family. Hair loss is a cosmetic issue that many men deal with. If you want to learn more all about pattern baldness becomes bothersome, consider talking with your doctor and getting some recommendations for how to treat it.

Effective Treatments Exist To Reverse Hair Loss In Men

By John Farikani

For forty-five million American males, baldness is a fact of life. Often showing up in a man's 20's, hair loss typically occurs around the temples and crown and progresses throughout life. People generally lose 50-100 hairs per day, each to be replaced by a new one. This regular cycle tends to slow as a person ages.

Male pattern baldness is caused when the 5-alpha reductase enzyme converts testosterone to Dihydrotestosterone (DHT). In this form, it collects in the hair follicle blocking proteins from being transformed into new hair. This process begins a sharp increase during puberty as the his body begins to produce testosterone in excess while growing.

To re-grow hair on the scalp, topical and internal prescription products exist that serve to block DHT from reaching the hair follicle. Some of these products carry adverse health and sexual side effects. A primary component is the chemical minoxidil which, when applied topically, stimulates the capillaries around the hair stem allowing proteins to reach the root of the hair promoting growth. Internal supplements act in a similar fashion to allow proteins to reach hair except that it is accomplished by blocking DHT internally.

Internal medications exist in the prescription form, which act to inhibit DHT creation. These are relatively new to the market but have been found safe by the FDA. Natural supplements exist that perform a similar function. The Saw Palmetto herb, often used for prostate health, has been found to greatly reduce DHT production in the body when taken in doses of 150 to 300 mg daily.

Nutrition is a vital first step to regaining hair. Eating foods rich in lean protein, B-vitamins and essential minerals will supply follicles nutrients needed to function normally. In addition, taking an amino acid complex helps supply long chain aminos necessary for hair growth that become difficult for the body to synthesize with age. The MSM supplement has been shown to boost hairs' growing cycles, resulting in the faster appearance of new hair. Using these tools in concert with reducing stress and getting plenty of rest can yield surprising results.

More aggressive treatments exist, such as implants, that show immediate improvements in quantity of hair but very painful and expensive. Supplements as well as topical and internal drugs require a great deal longer, with results often not showing up for three to six months. Patience is the key to remember when working to re-grow hair.

The sooner you start dealing with hair loss, the more likely you are to retain and re-grow hair. Once the follicles have died off completely, they probably won't come back. So take action early or learn to love a smooth hairless head.

Learn About Fitness and Fighting Hair Loss Over 40

By Scott Fisher

You may have never thought that one day you would look in the mirror and see thinning hair. You may believe that you are genetically predisposed to be bald, but this is a common misconception. Many people lose their hair because of poor health. Even if you are genetically prone to lose your hair, you can prevent it through fitness.

Weight loss over 40 is a must if you want to prevent hair loss. Scientists have shown that hair loss is more likely in the overweight and obese. Some of these cases are unexplained, but there are many which are caused by a weight induced hormone imbalance.

Your body is an amazing machine that works on a careful balance of hormones. You must have the right levels of hormones for good body function. If you have a hormone imbalance, one of the first body parts to suffer is your hair.

Male pattern balding, even in women, is normally from too much testosterone in your system. Stored fat releases testosterone, and cancer causing estrogen. When there is no physical activity, your body uses this testosterone inefficiently. The hormone is sent to your scalp and the conversion process causes your hair follicles to die. Therefore, the less extra fat you have stored the less testosterone will be able to cause hair loss.

Type II Diabetics are also very likely to suffer from hair loss. Very often, this type of diabetes is caused when extra weight induces a hormone imbalance. Diabetes causes your body to work harder to maintain blood sugar and insulin levels. This makes blood flow more difficult, increases healing time, and raises the risk of infection. When your body is working this hard, it shuts down unnecessary functions in order to survive. Unfortunately, hair production is one of the first functions to stop.

An unhealthy thyroid will also cause hair loss similar to diabetes. When the thyroid stimulating hormone is too high hair falls out. Another symptom of poor thyroid function is extra weight. Talk to your doctor if you are worried about your thyroid. However, fitness after 40 is a vital part of maintaining thyroid health and preventing related hair loss.

Scientists have proven that the unexplained cases of hair loss occur more frequently in the obese and overweight. This is probably because extra weight makes your body work harder. It places undue strain on your heart, organs, muscles, and endocrine system.

You have the power to stop and even prevent hair loss, despite your genes. It is absolutely necessary that you shed those unwanted pounds. Being overweight is a symptom of so many health issues which lead to balding. If you want to keep your thick mane of your youth then you need to start focusing on fitness today.

Don't Lose Heart Because Crown Balding And Hair Loss Are Easy To Manage

By John Farikani

Most of us simply do not pay enough attention to seriously doing something to prevent hair loss until we start to suffer from crown balding. This may begin in a very innocuous manner with only a few strands of hair falling away each time you comb or brush your hair. But soon it becomes a noticeable problem with patches of baldness developing on the scalp leading to much embarrassment and which will make you scurry about trying to find a quick solution.

There are solutions available to help overcome such problems but if you think that wearing a hat or styling your hair in a particular manner is the solution then you are in for a big disappointment. Such solutions are temporary and soon the problem will come to the fore once more. You can only cure this condition if you are first able to identify the cause of the problem and then find a solution that removes or reduces the root causes.

A major cause of baldness is that the dreaded hormone (called DHT) manages to get into your bloodstream and when this happens your hair follicles will be choked off and that in turn leads to thinning of your hair. Eventually it results in loss of hair and more worryingly, no fresh hair will grow where the hair have fallen away. This is what leads to developing bald patches on your scalp.

The most worrying thing about developing crown balding is that there are numerous Americans that have to suffer from the problem which means that you are not an exception but the rule - almost.

You should, if you find that the problem is affecting you, look for the optimal solutions. The good news is that there are several worthwhile solutions available that can help reverse the condition. A good choice is to make use of certain medications that can help in inducing the hair to re-grow once more. This the medications achieve through combating DHT and eliminating it or vastly reducing its presence.

You can also look at alternatives to medications because if you get in sufficient amount of Vitamin B into your system or you consume minerals such as magnesium as well as zinc you can cure the problem of hair loss and subsequent crown balding.

It is imperative that you prevent and stop hair loss because otherwise you won't be in a position to prevent crown balding. The good news is that there are many simple and effective solutions available that you can use to keep those nasty patches away from your scalp.

Increasing Your Chances For A Baldness Cure With Circulation Improvement

By John Farikani

Some recent research has shown that increasing your chances for a baldness cure with circulation improvement is not only possible but quite probable. What is recommended is that anyone who is suffering from any type of hair loss educate themselves on hair and baldness, whether it's about male or female pattern baldness.

For example, whether you're male or female is suffering from your own respective pattern baldness, each one causes the suffer to lose hair in a certain way. It's very rare for a woman to suffer baldness the way a male would, with a receding line or bald spot at the top of the head.

Understanding the life cycle of hair is not that difficult. Basically, there are three phases. One is where the hair grows, the second is where the hair thins, and the third is when the hair falls out. At this point, I'm new here begins to grow, and repeats the cycle over and over again. However, when this cycle is interfered with, problems arise.

The interference stems from DHT. This particular substance is developed in the body and travels to the hair follicles, attaching itself to them. This hinders any blood supply to the follicle. Thus, it makes it difficult and almost impossible for them to produce new hair.

If you have noticed a problem with your hair, thankfully, there is a solution called minoxidil that can control the DHT which can destroy your hair follicles. On its own, it has shown promising results, but shown even results when used in combination with supplements and an improved diet.

For instance, minoxidil combined with a baldness cure with circulation improvement can help bring back the life of the follicle that is dying off. Improving your diet with recommended foods will help. These foods include legumes, and more particularly lentils. Spinach and nuts, as well as a whole grains and soybeans will help circulate the blood more efficiently throughout the body.

You can encourage regrowth of hair, and improve the chances of retaining the existing hair by trying the various recommendations and by being diligent. With tens of millions of people suffering from hair loss, there is a great deal of research going into it find the proper treatments.

If you neglect to eat right you may be decreasing your chances of any re growth of hair. The fact is that scientists have studied the issue and have since proved their case. Furthermore, they have millions of people who have used the proper diet along with the products and now to continue to have hair. The most important thing you can learn about all of this is how quickly you have to move on treating your problem.

Male Hair Loss - What Can Be Done

By Anju Mathur, MD

The majority of American men will be aware of some hair loss by the age of 35. By age 50, nearly 85% of men will have experienced thinning hair. A quarter of the men who experience this loss begin before they reach the age of 21. And 95% of this hair loss is male pattern baldness.

Male pattern baldness interferes with numerous sectors of a man's life. It can change relationships and professional life. Sometimes men change their careers as a result. Most men who have it are not very happy about it and many would resort to just about any remedy to change it.

Almost every hair loss remedy on the market is about as effective as Dr. Jones' Medicine Show snake oil. Perhaps you've seen the infomercials on late night TV. Or the radio ads, guaranteed or your money back. Or the ads in magazines for men, promising hair growth that will attract a bevy of ladies. The ads are very common.

There are also a myriad of false reasons bandied about concerning why hair loss occurs. Anxiety? No. Wearing a cap (even sleeping in a cap)? No. Nutritional insufficiency? No. Wearing a ponytail? No. Excess sweating? No. Androgenic Alopecia or male pattern hair loss occurs for two reasons - decreasing androgens (male hormones) and genetic predilection.

Genetic predisposition cannot be changed, but if a loss of hormone production causes the condition, would it not make sense to replace the lost hormones? That would be a workable solution to hair loss.

Andropause in men is the name for what women call menopause. Besides hair loss, there are other symptoms as the hormones (androgens) decrease in proportion to age. Loss of libido, decreased muscle mass and strength, low energy, insomnia, nervousness and depression can also be symptoms. Muscle mass decreases and body fat increases.

Men can benefit from bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, just as women do. (Note: Bio-identical is an important word - it means the replacement hormones are not synthetic, but are identical to the hormones produced by the human body.) Optimal health is dependent upon the balance of hormones and not just one single hormone. Currently men with low androgens (male hormones) can benefit from the hormone replacement therapy. The therapy definitely improves quality of life and increases life span.

There will be other results in addition to stopping hair loss - lower blood pressure, lower risk of heart attack, restored libido, healthy prostate gland, and slowing loss of muscle mass and strength are a few. Starting hormone replacement early in life is very much recommended, although it can help men 50 or 60 or older. In order to start this therapy, medical testing is required to find out which hormones should be replaced and in what amount.

Female Hair Loss Remedy Solutions - 3 Options To Choose From

By Irina Thorton

Female patter hair loss is common among women. In fact, it happens to 50% of women today. If there is anything to be grateful about the situation though, it is that female hair loss can be remedied.

Finasteride

Finasteride (propecia) is an known remedy that works effectively for men. Recently though, been found to treat the same problem in women when combined with oral contraceptives. Propecia has some side effects, albeit only 3%. Often, these side effects subside after constant use.

Finasteride is effective because it works by blocking 50-alpha reductase, an enzyme which converts testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT).

Treatment can also be a combination of several topical creams.

Women can also opt for a remedies with DHT inhibiting capabilities. There are products with DHT inhibitors that are specifically made to address the problem in women. DHT inhibitors may be added with active ingredients like phyto-revitalizers that can also help deal with the condition.

DHT is a hormone naturally produced by the body. This hormone causes damage to hair follicles. When the DHT is inhibited, hair follicles are able to grow again. Meanwhile, phyto-revitalizers are amino acids that are needed by hair follicles for proper growth. When added to a female hair loss remedy, DHT inhibitors and phyto-revitalizers can have more effective results.

Will Minoxidil Use Really Reverse Your Thinning Hair Problem?

By Peter Albertson

It is estimated that 50 percent or more of men will suffer from some form of baldness in their lives, generally the result of the inherited condition known as male pattern baldness, or androgenetic alopecia. Minoxidil is one of 2 products approved by the FDA for use as a baldness treatment in men. But will minoxidil use work for you?

There are hundreds of baldness cures on the internet, but only minoxidil and finasteride have been approved by the FDA to reverse thinning hair in men and the FDA has only approved minoxidil as a baldness treatment by women.

It therefore follows that these are the only 2 products which have scientific evidence of their effectiveness as baldness treatments which is sufficient to convince the FDA of their effectiveness, and only one, minoxidil, has sufficient scientific evidence of it's effectiveness for women.

If any of the companies that make the miracle cures for baldness found on the internet could produce sufficient scientific proof that these products actually worked to reverse thinning hair you can be absolutely certain they would apply for FDA approval today. FDA approval for a product to treat hair loss is as good as a licence to print money, and if they had the evidence of the effectiveness of the product they would apply for FDA approval immediately.

But whilst minoxidil is the only FDA approved treatment of thinning hair in both men and women, you do need to understand a few things about minoxidil use before you start using minoxidil to treat your baldness problem.

Obviously minoxidil works to reverse thinning hair or the FDA would not have approved it. But just because it is proven to work doesn't mean that it works for everybody. Just as there are cancer treatments which are proven to work to treat cancer, they do not work for everybody, and it is not realistic to expect minoxidil to be any different. Do not expect that just because it works for others that it will also work for you, though of course there is a good chance that it will.

And secondly if you are considering using minoxidil you need to understand that even if it works for you the results take time to achieve and that you should be prepared to commit to using a product for at least 6 months, and preferably 12, before you can make a judgement about whether it is working for you. Otherwise you may find that you discontinue minoxidil use too early, and before it has started to work.

And the last thing to understand about using minoxidil for hair loss is that even if you have a successful result you will need to continue using minoxidil to maintain that result. If you discontinue minoxidil use all of the hair regrowth that you have achieved will gradually be lost again and your thinning hair will return.

There is no doubt that using minoxidil works to reverse baldness in men as well as women, but you need to have realistic expectations and understand that this does not mean it will work to reverse your thinning hair. To increase the likelihood that minoxidil used for you there is now a new product which combines minoxidil together with a range of essential hair nutrients which has been found to increase the effectiveness of minoxidil use for thinning hair.

To find out which product increases the likelihood that minoxidil will work you by combining it with a range of essential hair nutrients visit my website.

Using Natural Products To Prevent Hair Loss In Men And Women

By John Farikani

The topic of hair loss is a condition that is all too common in both men and women. It can happen due to a number of factors. For example, male pattern baldness is caused by genetics. Other contributing causes can be related to diet, stress and hormones. For people that are interested would like to restore thinning hair or prevent more baldness from occurring there are natural products that can help.

More people are starting to rely on natural products for a number of conditions, not just thinning hair. They are often less expensive than prescription products and do not require a trip to the doctor. Many prescription medications are associated with a number of negative side effects. Those are all valid reasons for people that are dealing with baldness or thinning hair to consider natural treatments.

After years of research, it is finally a known fact that a certain hormone causes male pattern baldness. That hormone is a byproduct of testosterone. The name of it is dihydrotestosterone, or DHT. It flows through the bloodstream. DHT actually kills hair follicles, causing baldness and thinning hair.

Thinning hair can also occur in women, it most certainly is not just a male issue. It can happen very gradually. A woman might notice a few strands of hair falling out every time she brushes her hair or washes it. Unlike men, most women do not develop bald spots. Some of the reasons for women to develop thinning hair include varying hormone levels and vitamin deficiencies. Stress is also a known factor.

There are topical creams that are used to combat against baldness. They are used to stimulate hair growth at the scalp. Oral supplements can also be taken. They work internally to help block the production of DHT. Certain vitamins and herbs are known to block DHT formation.

People with hair loss should pay attention to their vitamin intake. Both zinc and magnesium are known to stimulate healthy hair. Herbal remedies such as Saw Palmetto can also help. An interesting fact about Saw Palmetto is that it can actually help block DHT from being formed. Most people already know that it can enhance a man's prostrate health, but few know about its ability to help with hair loss.

Unfortunately for people that are already almost completely bald most treatments will not work. At that point the hair follicles have already been damaged beyond repair. However for the millions of people that are currently dealing with thinning hair or hair loss from male pattern baldness help is available. Using a natural treatment program that consists of a potent combination of oral supplements and a topical solution might just be the answer that you are looking for.

Be Proactive About The Early Signs Of Balding

By John Farikani

You can help yourself with the first early signs of balding, believe it or not. Paying close attention to your hairline and your hair in general is important to stop hair loss at the earliest point. Quick action will ensure that you can slow it down, stop it, and regrow your hair. So, even though you are worried, try to relax, because there are solutions.

Now that you are calm, you can start treating the condition. The trick is to catch it at its onset. This will make all the difference in the regrowth. A quick response will increase your chances of regrowth, all the while maintaining the rest of your hair.

The good news is that you live in this day and age and there is something that can be done about it. In the past, people were just stuck with losing their hair.

But, the truth is, no matter how old you are when you begin to lose your hair it affects you. You can suffer from low self-esteem and feel very self-conscious about the hair loss being evident. It doesn't have to be that way. What's important is learning all you can about the subject and taking action.

You will be faced with several choices, with the early signs of balding. Educating yourself will help you to pick the best ones. As this is a huge industry, there are many products available. Some show very promising results, where others have no impact at all. And with those that don't work, it's not only money down the drain but worse than that.

What is worse is the fact that you'll be losing time that you can't get back. During that time, you will have suffered more hair loss. You should know however that even though there are products that do work, they do not work on everyone. And there is no overnight success rate here. Results only appear after about six months from the time the treatment begins.

In other words, you will have to be patient. You will have to use products that have the best ingredients in them. In order to see your progress, you should take photos of your head.

In many cases, hair loss sufferers would benefit from vitamins and herbs that could encourage hair growth. Different vitamins in the B group and zinc are all known to strengthen hair. Other herbs are known for their ability to enable follicles to grow hair again. Furthermore, there are specific medications that can help a great deal. One such medication is minoxidil. This is actually a liquid solution that is applied topically on the scalp it will make a difference with the early signs of balding.

By John Farikani

Hormones and genetics can be the main cause of baldness and these are the causes that out of our control. Scientists are doing their very best to know or identify the real factors that leads to this condition but until now the genes that affects baldness if still a mystery.

Some men appear to be bald and signs begin during puberty and some say this is due to hormonal imbalance where androgen is increasing in number. The male population is usually very susceptible to effects of early stage of hair loss if in case they would have over production of androgen hormones.

While women, usually comes bald at the time of menopausal period or after. This may be due to low production of estrogen higher androgen.

Being Proactive On The Causes Of Female Baldness

By John Farikani

The causes of female baldness should be known to women of all ages. Although you might think that baldness is only something that can happen to men, it is also common among women. Albeit not as common as it is with men. Knowledge is definitely something that you can use so you should know the why's and how's of it.

Sometimes the cause is something as simple as vitamin deficiency. It could be that you are not taking in enough of the vitamins needed for healthy hair growth. Aside from multivitamins then, you need a well rounded and healthy diet. This will help you in growing back your hair or in making your hair thicker and healthier.

Stress too, can have a big impact on your hair. Different kinds of stress - such as physical or emotional stress - can also cause temporary thinning of your hair. However, once your body settles down and you become more relaxed, your hair will also go through its usual stages and eventually grow back. Another clue to your hair loss could be to look at your mother's hair. If she is experiencing thinning of hair, then it might run in your family.

Hair loss and baldness, though seen more often in men, also happens frequently in women. However, its physical manifestation in women is different from men. Women experience loss of hair throughout their head while men have receding hairlines. They also have bald patches at the crown of their head.

Because it is something that happens more in men, women are prone to avoiding this topic. This is why, they cover up their heads as much as possible with hats or the like. This can also be seen in how their hairstyles are changed to cover up problem areas. This may be more difficult in women though as they have a lot more area to cover.

Thankfully, there are more natural ways of growing hair. One of the currently developed ways of combating hair loss is through the use of a supplement taken orally. A topical liquid used in conjunction with this will further increase its effectiveness.

The good thing about this intervention is that it is not a hassle to use. It is definitely not as scary as the surgeries now available to augment hair loss. The results may be gradual but you will appreciate the steady growth of hair you will experience. It is also better to start with this intervention as soon as you notice that you are losing your hair. So whatever causes of female baldness you are experiencing, rest assured that there is a product for you.

Thinning Hair Remedy

By Jason Collins

In their lifetimes over 60% of men will experience hair loss, baldness and thinning hair in some form or other. It is not just men that experience thinning hair but women too with it being estimated that over 35 % will also experience thinning hair in some form or other.

The market for hair loss and hair thickening products is estimated to be worth hundreds of millions of dollars every single year. This is not surprising given the emotional attachment we often have with our hair and the resultant loss of self esteem that some feel when their hair starts thinning or falling out.

There are various reasons why men and women get thinning hair. The main ones are a poor diet and poor blood circulation, stress and other emotional factors, a negative reaction to medication and hormonal imbalances.

Despite the fact that there are thousands of products promising to regrow and thicken hair there are only two treatments that the FDA approve that tackle thinning hair and hair loss. These are Minoxidil and Finasteride.

Finasteride works by inhibiting the production of a hormone called Dht. Dht attacks the hair follicle and makes in shrink. Dht is produced by testosterone. Finasteride is taken in tablet form, daily. Minoxidil works by increasing the flow of blood to the hair follicle, this is believed to be able to slow down or halt further thinning and hair loss in some cases.

Hundreds if not thousands of different products and treatments claim and promise to be able to thicken hair, stop hair loss and even regrown completely new hair. The ingredients and chemicals contained in such products should seriously be considered before usage for health and safety reasons. The source of the products in question should also be considered.

Hair pieces and wigs are also another alternative remedy for thinning hair that some might consider. So too are cosmetic hair thickening products.

Hairpieces or wigs have come on a lot in the past decade. The best ones are virtually undetectable even up close and blend in a seamless fashion with one's own hair. At the top end they can run into several thousand dollars in price and might require an ongoing maintenance fee.

Thinning hair can also be thickened by using cosmetic hair thickening products such as hair thickening sprays, mousses, conditioners and fibers. The results can be very effective cosmetically. Usually they thicken hair in a way similar to how eye lashes are thickened by mascara. A thickening agent is usually contained in these products which binds to and thickens hair and improves volume and thickness. Of course, as with any products one should examine the ingredients in them carefully before usage.

What Do We Know About Vitamin B And Hair Loss?

By John Farikani

In today's high tech, advanced medicine world of competitive edges you might be surprised to learn what we know about Vitamin B and hair loss. The body interacts with itself on a cellular level. This means that molecules of nutrition are divided up into useful molecules and waste molecules. The useful ones are sent to work wherever there is a need.

Other nutrients are also essential to the hair's overall health and its ability to remain full and provide full coverage. Niacin, B Vitamins, and folic acid are considered to be prime factors in whether or not you will experience thinning or balding hair. Even a receding hair line can be traced to nutrient deficiencies.

The need for B Vitamins is not qualified by gender. On average, there are literally 75 million people in the United States alone that are grappling with the issues related to losing one's hair. This breaks down into 45 million and men and about 30 million women. Either gender can develop nutritional deficiencies that contribute to the loss of hair over time.

Vitamin B and hair loss studies indicate that since hair thinning and balding has little to nothing to do with gender. While more men suffer from alopecia it would be a natural assumption that men are more affected by the absence of the B Vitamins. In just the US, there are at least 75 million adults and children that are losing their hair or have lost their hair. 30 million of these sufferers are women, while an additional 15 million brings the total to 45 million men who can not find relief from the chronic issues related to hair loss.

When you look at not just treatment options but preventative measures as well, Vitamin B and hair loss connections can help keep the hair that you have exactly where it belongs. By preventing the individual hairs from falling out too early, maintaining a healthy scalp for new follicles to regenerate you could very well stop and reverse balding patterns even before they happen.

Foods that are rich in B Vitamins, niacin, and folic acid should be considered hair saving wonder foods. Adding in a supplement will only encourage results. While it is possible to overdose on vitamins, most of the time this would take a very significant dose.

The effects of Vitamin B and hair loss are still being studied. Thanks to the program of natural supplements, many men and women have the chance to do something about their hair rather than covering it. Even the nicest hat doesn't give you the same freedom that your own naturally grown hair.

Get A Hair Restoration And Regrowth Treatment

By Anthony Devlin

Many of us will go to extreme lengths to hold onto our precious hair. Science progressions have discovered some of the key factors that contribute to our hair loss. Just because the hair loss gene looms large in your family, doesn't mean it will have the last word. So what's the best thing to do to keep baldness at bay?

The first thing you can do is to keep a healthy surge of hormones flowing around your body. This can be achieved with modest tempo aerobic exercises. They should be performed regularly throughout the week. Your hair will sustain for much longer if you supply it with a healthy hormone balance.

Certain vitamins are also quite beneficial for your hair. Vitamin E is good for overall hair growth and condition and is said to counteract hair loss. As Vitamin E is an antioxidant is pushes more blood flow to the scalp area which provides increased levels of oxygen. This turn provides more nutrients for the hair follicles and causes strong healthy hair to grow and restore itself.

A number of herbs are also thought to be beneficial in promoting hair growth and restoration. But what if the tide of Mother Nature is against you and nutrients alone will not turn the situation around? There are professional hair regrowth treatments. These are run by specialist hair clinics. The procedure may involve a number of combined therapies.

Hair regrowth treatments usually perform a mixture of detoxification, laser light, diet and hair product therapies. You may also be asked to complete part of the program at home, and come in for more treatments at regular intervals. There are low powered laser comb devices on the market and you may have to use this, with a diet and exercise plan at home between visits to the clinic.

Do hair regrowth treatments work? Well the good thing about taking part in a clinic environment is that you are under constant observation. If it needs be, your treatment can be adjusted. You have probably seen laser hair combs advertised everywhere, but these don't address all the hair restoration issues. Not everyone will experience hair regrowth, but some will improve the quality of the hair they still have, and can cause it to stick around that little bit longer.

What Is The Connection Between Vitamin Deficiency And Hair Loss?

By John Farikani

Hair loss is usually triggered by a several factors such as a poor diet, stress, some medications, various diseases and vitamin deficiency. In fact, there is a strong connection between vitamin deficiency and hair loss. This is why you must consume a large variety of nutritious foods.

Vitamin A is essential for the health of our skin, eyes and hair. It boots the metabolism of mineral salts and proteins, stimulating the development of our body cells and tissues. This vitamin can be easily obtained from animal and vegetable sources.

A deficiency of vitamin A may lead to respiratory and digestive infections, dry skin and hair, skin disorders, decreased visual acuity especially in smokers, insomnia, headache, hypertension and hair loss. This vitamin can be found in colorful fruits, vegetables, oily fish and eggs.

B vitamins play a key role in the activities of enzymes and a variety of other bodily functions. Vitamin B12, vitamin B6 and folic acid maintain the health of our hair and can be obtained from potatoes, dried beans, fish, beef, chicken, green leafy vegetables, dairy products, bananas, mushrooms, liver, shellfish, poultry and milk. Vitamin B1 stimulates the nerves and the metabolism of carbohydrates. Vitamin B2 is good for our mental health, while vitamin B3 prevents anxiety and depression. Vitamin B5 protects us against allergies and vitamin B6 regulates mood disorders, Vitamin B12 promotes hair growth.

Vitamin B deficiency often leads to anemia, psychosis and dementia, hair loss, muscular weakness, constipation, pernicious anemia, skin disorders, dandruff, heart arrhythmias, extreme fatigue and nervous system disorders. In some cases, such a deficiency causes respiratory infections, extreme fatigue, stomach distress and constipation.

Iron contributes to the production of hemoglobin, myoglobin and enzymes. Only 8% of the total amount of iron ingested is absorbed by our body, reaching the bloodstream. This mineral is essential for the metabolism of vitamin B. Iron helps in the process of growth, strengthens the immune system, prevents fatigue and cures anemia.

Iron deficiency occurs especially in women, leading to severe hair loss, anemia and lack of energy. This is why we must consume foods rich in iron, such as meat, fish or poultry, sardines, shrimps, seafood, spinach, pinto beans, potatoes, iron-fortified breakfast cereals, oatmeal, oysters, peas, almonds, beef liver and soybeans.

Protein deficiency is one of the most common causes of hair loss. Symptoms include splitting and/or falling hair, extreme fatigue, low blood pressure and brittle nails. An overdose of vitamin A may also trigger hair loss.

Adopting a healthy diet is the best we can do for our health. Vitamin deficiency and hair loss are directly related, so it. 's very important to consume nutritious foods. If this condition persists, it. 's advisable to go to the doctor immediately.

Stop Hair Loss With The Proper Treatment

By John Farikani

More than just losing hair, balding causes a person to lose self confidence as well. Whether male, female, young or old, issues of thinning hair, receding hairlines and bald spots are often sensitive issues. So, before you lose your self esteem, stop hair loss now. There are different reasons why people start losing hair. To properly address the problem of thinning hair, it is important that we understand what causes it.

One reason that is usually overlooked is poor nutrition. Our hair follicles have receptors which are like the roots of trees. They are responsible for getting the nutrients from our body. Therefore, if we do not healthy, there is no reason for us to expect healthy hair at all. The hair strands become thinner and brittle over time until hair growth stops altogether.

Whether mental, physical or emotional, stress is still stress; and it can cause you to shed more than the normal 50-100 strands range. If you have been working late nights and rushing to meet deadlines, make sure you take some time to unwind. Why go through the process of losing your self-esteem due to loss of hair if you can avoid it, right?

Hormones also play a vital role in hair loss. A pregnant woman, for example, practically stops shedding hair due to a higher estrogen level. Once the estrogen level goes back to normal after giving birth, the hormonal imbalance is slowly corrected and she sheds the hair that she should have in the past months. Even an under-active or overactive thyroid gland can cause a person to lose hair.

There is one type of androgen, a male hormone, which is known to cause pattern baldness in both genders. However, because it is a male hormone, men are more affected than women are. This androgens called Dihydrotestosterone or DHT. These androgens bind to the hair follicle receptors and slowly form wax-like coverings that wrap the receptors. When this happens, the receptors are no longer to able to get the nutrients it needs; therefore also unable to deliver nutrients to the rest of the hair.

If you feel that you are experiencing hair loss, do not panic. There are tons of hair loss products that are available which have anti DHT components or DHT restrictors. Take time to think so that you may address the situation properly.

Given enough time, proper treatment, combined with an improvement in your diet or lifestyle, should stop hair loss eventually. Now you have a bit of information giving you an understanding of the problem and you can best access yours.

What Causes Hair Loss? Why Are You Loosing Your Hair?

By John Farikani

Hair loss may result from a combination of multiple factors. However, in most cases, this condition is triggered by hormonal changes, medications, birth control pills, infections, certain diseases, stress and genetic factors. Hair styling treatments and products may also damage your hair. Before starting a treatment, you must know what causes hair loss:

Androgenetic alopecia affects millions of people, being responsible for hair loss. It usually results from chronic stress, smoking, certain diseases, chemotherapy, compulsive hair pulling, fungal infections, air pollution, chronic cutanous lupus erythematosus, etc. This condition may also occur because of secondary syphilis, dissecting cellulites and electromagnetic radiation.

Hormones are responsible for the growth, operation, and maintenance of numerous organs and systems. This means that some hormonal changes may affect our hair. Childbirth, pregnancy, birth control pills, perimenopause and menopause, malfunctions in the thyroid and other processes lead to hair loss. Women who have a history of female pattern loss in their family are even more predisposed to lose their hair.

Thyroid dysfunctions are some of the most common causes of alopecia. People suffering from malfunctions in the thyroid (hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism) present a higher risk of hair loss.

Low protein diets and poor nutrition are responsible not only for hair loss, but for many other health problems. A balanced diet, rich in minerals and vitamins is essential for the health of our hair, being recommended. Foods that provide enough protein, vitamin E and fiber stimulate hair growth and improve the overall health condition.

For this reason it. 's very important to eat plenty of raw fruits and vegetables, diary products, oily fish, almonds, seeds, whole grains, hazelnuts and foods rich in protein, vitamin B12 and iron. Following a balanced diet is the best you can do for your health. It. 's recommended to avoid the consumption of alcohol, salty foods, processed foods and caffeine.

You might be losing your hair because of stress. Researchers have shown that cortisol and testosterone levels are increased by stress. The good news is that hair loss can be treated successfully as long as you. 're not suffering from androgenic alopecia.

Most of us use a variety of different hair products, including hair dyes, shampoos, gels, mousse, oils and more. Despite their benefits, these products may also damage your hair because they contain many chemical substances.

Now that you know what causes hair loss, you should repair the damage that may have been done to your hair. Adopt a healthy diet, stop using chemical products for a while and try to stay away from stress, if possible.

To fight hair loss, you can select one of the many excellent over the counter products for women. They can make a huge difference in the fullness and appearance of your hair.

By John Farikani

Everyone is familiar with male pattern baldness. Men, while they may be unhappy about it, may not be surprised when they begin to experience hair loss. Women often are since they do not know they can also lose their hair. There are actually several reasons for womens hair loss and knowing which is causing yours can help you halt or even reverse the process.

Unlike male pattern baldness, a woman losing her hair has a number of treatment options. It all depends on the underlying cause which, in many cases is fairly simple. That is the good news. The bad news is that since there are a number of different causes, it may take time to find the one that is causing your problems. Here are a few of the most common reasons.

One of the major reasons for women losing their hair is hormonal changes. A woman naturally undergoes significant hormonal changes at different stages of their life and even different times of the month. If you have recently been pregnant and you are now experiencing some hairs falling out, it is due to hormones. This is because during pregnancy, a woman's body halts the life stage that all hairs are in, so they are not lost. After pregnancy this situation changes and many of the hairs are shed. You may feel like you are losing a lot of your hair but it is actually not as bad as you might think.

If there has been no pregnancy or you can see bald patches, you may need to have your hormones tested. This is because other reasons may be the cause of your problems and you need to know what is happening so that the proper treatment can be administered.

Stress can also affect a woman's body in unexpected ways. Hair loss is only one of the ways chronic stress can damage us. If a woman is very busy, she may not be looking after herself properly. A poor diet or consumption of too much alcohol can cause hair loss from malnutrition. If you suspect stress may be an issue, try using relaxation techniques such as meditation and yoga, or take a vitamin supplement designed to deal with stress. You may be amazed at the results you can achieve.

There are medicines which can cure hair loss, and others that can cause it. Most people are aware that it can be a side effect of chemotherapeutic medications but others can have the same effect. You should speak with the pharmacist or person who prescribed your medications to find alternate medications or effective ways to treat or manage the hair loss.

Alopecia is a medical term which refers to the loss of hair. It can be caused by a deficiency in the amount of thyroid hormone being produced, or even an iron deficiency. Another cause can be lupus or several other potentially serious medical diseases. You need to have these ruled out before beginning any treatment regimen.

Over the counter treatments can be safe and effective. You need to make sure that you are picking the treatment that is right for you and one that is designed specifically for women.

Why Men Experience Hair Loss

By Peter Johnston

Hair loss in men is a common condition. It is estimated that over 65% of men will have thinning hair or some form of hair loss in their lifetimes. The main cause of hair loss in men is a hormone called Dht. Dht is produced by testosterone and is known to attack the hair follicle and gradually make it thinner and weaker.

Male Pattern Baldess is the name given to the most common type of hair loss that starts and the crown and temples and results in a receding hair line and gradually thinning hair. In cases of Male Pattern Baldness hair at the sides and back of the head does not usually thin and fall out. This is because this hair is resistant to Dht and its effects on hair.

Hair loss normally begins after one's teenage years but can start at an age. Male Pattern Baldness is usually a genetic condition but it does not necessarily follow that because one's father is bald the son will also become bald or experience hair loss.

The industry for hair loss and related products is very large and is estimated to run into hundreds of million of dollars ever year. This is not surprising given the huge numbers of men that experience thinning hair and hair loss and the resulting loss of confidence it can cause.

Minoxidil and Finasteride are the two FDA treatments approved for hair loss. They work in different ways. Minoxidil is applied twice daily to the scalp and thinning areas and improves the flow of blood to hair follicles. Finasteride comes in the form of a tablet and is ingested once per day and it works by inhibiting Dht, the main cause of hair loss and thinning hair in most men.

Both Minoxidil and Finasteride are most effective at slowing down further hair loss in men and hair thinning although they can regrow and thicken hair in some cases. How effective they will be cannot be predicted and depends on the individual in question. Benefits are lost when the treatments are stopped so their use is ongoing.

There are lots and lots of products sold that claim to be able to regrown hair or help with hair loss. This is due to the large number of men suffering from hair loss that would like to regrow or thicken their hair. One should always consult one's physician upon using any medical products, or even those that are herbal in nature to make sure one is able to safely use them.

Other options for those that have an issue with hair loss or thinning hair include cosmetic hair thickeners and hairpieces (also known as wigs and hair systems). The results of these cosmetic options can be very convincing and effective. Again, any kind of treatment should be looked at closely not just in terms of financial cost but in terms of health and safety.

Why Women Have Thinning Hair

By Ronald Carter

When a woman starts to experience thinning hair and hair loss it can be a major issue and affect their confidence and self esteem.

There can be a variety of factors that might cause a woman's hair to thin or start thinning. These include a hormonal imbalance, a diet lacking the right balance of vitamins and minerals, stress, and negative reactions to certain medications.

In the vast majority of cases hair loss and thinning hair in women is caused by a hormone called Dht. This is produced by testosterone and this causes hair to thin by attacking and shrinking the hair follicle.

Usually women have enough estrogen in their bodies to counter the damaging effects of Dht to the hair. With age however estrogen levels can fall. This makes Dht in effect more able to damage hair follicles.

Just two medical treatments are acknowledged by the FDA in the USA as being effective against thinning hair and hair loss. These are Finasteride and Minoxidil.

Finasteride is a prescription only drug and is only allowed to be used by males as there are fears it could harm unborn babies. Minoxidil is allowed to be used by both men and women in combating thinning hair and hair loss, though in different strengths.

Minoxidil is most effective in slowing the rate of thinning and hair loss in women. In trials it has proven the halt or slow down further thinning in around 30% of cases.

Cosmetic hair thickening products are an option for those that wish thicken their hair cosmetically.
These products work in much the same way that mascara thickens eye lashes. The use some kind of thickening agent to add volume and body to existing hair. Again it is important that one knows the exact ingredients used in these products before use.

Hair thickening products that are cosmetic in nature are also another option for those that want to thicken thinning hair. These products come in a variety of forms such as hair sprays, lotions and shampoos, microfiber powders etc... They usually work on a very similar premise to mascara in that they add a thickening agent or ingredient to thinning hair giving it volume and density. Again, if you decide to try one of these types of products it is of paramount importance that one knows not only how the product works but any ingredients used.

Finally, hairpieces and wigs might be another option for those that want the appearance of a thick, full head of hair.
The best hairpieces and wigs will allow you the freedom to do any physical exercise activities you would normally do such as swimming and cycling. At the top end the cost for hairpieces and wigs can run into thousands of dollars and recurring monthly charges for maintenance. These should be considered beforehand.

What Is The Best Hair Loss Product? Natural Treatment To Hair Loss

By John Farikani

Though Hair fall doesn't start overnight both men and women recognize it only when they start receiving hair strands in bunch while brushing hair or notice small patches on the scalp. It actually starts showing signs with a few strands of hair on the brush or on the towel then gradually increases to more strands of fall while brushing then reaches a stage where hair comes off the scalp easily without any much pressure. However the pattern of hair loss is different in both men and women. It starts as a receding hairline or balding in the center of the head for men and in women it's the thinning of hair in general. Reasons for this could be lifestyle changes, stress, pollution, hormonal changes, genetic, harsh chemical usage etc. Some can be treated as well and those are called the Pattern baldness. What is the best hair loss product?

The hormonal and genetic causes are due to the release of chemical called DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) that mixes into the bloodstream and locks the hair follicles therefore resulting in thinning of hair. There are ways to curb this but it's hard to point one product that works wonderfully. Recently FDA approved the usage of Minoxidil, an ingredient that can arrest the release of DHT in the bloodstream and prevent hair fall. This also helps enrich the blood which in turn helps promote hair growth.

Besides this, there are also plenty of minerals and Vitamins that help to hair growth. Vitamin B6 is mainly associated with hair growth and plenty of it is needed. Hair thinning is usually associated to imbalance in B6, folic acid and niacin.

Remedy For Hair Loss - How To Keep Hair Full With Natural Remedies

By John Farikani

Remedy for hair loss are very popular these days since many people suffer from loss of hair. You can be eighty one or just eighteen when hair starts to fall out or you can be a man or a woman, it does not matter. Many things can affect hair such as medication you take or if your father was bald. You can do some things naturally to keep from loosing more and these things are easy to do.

Grow more hair faster and stop it from falling out by making a rinse using sage tea and apple cider vinegar. Boil four cups of water and throw in a handful of fresh sage or you can use one fourth cup of dried. Keep the water boiling for two minutes and turn the heat off. Cool the mixture and strain out the herb then add one cup of apple cider vinegar. Put the tea in a jar and keep in the refrigerator using one cup to rinse your hair every time you wash it.

Saw Palmetto is a popular herb used to improve hair growth. It cleans out the hair follicles and lets them thrive again. Silica is used to prevent baldness and nettles are high in this mineral. Find Saw Palmetto in the health food store. It does come unbound but if you can't find it get it in capsules and take them apart. Combine one tablespoon saw palmetto and combine it with two teaspoons of nettle. Boil four cups of water and once the water boils add the herbs. You can wrap them in cheesecloth and tie with string or you can strain them out after they have boiled for about five minutes. Cool and rinse head daily. Saw Palmetto capsules can also be taken daily. Nettle juice can be found at any health food store and drinking 1 tablespoon in a glass of water will help. DHT is a bi product of testosterone and can cause male pattern baldness. Saw Palmetto and nettle have been proven to help rid the system of DHT. Saw Palmetto also helps with any prostrate problems.

Rosemary oil is an ancient remedy for hair loss as it stimulates the follicles and improves oxygen. Rosemary oil is somewhat expensive so to make it last a little longer combine five or six drops with about one tablespoon olive oil and massage into the scalp. Leave on a few hours and wash out several times per week. Rosemary cleans the scalp and gets rid of any damaging residue. Your scalp will tingle a bit but should not burn.

Bacteria and mites sometimes collect in the hair follicles causing loss of hair and Tea Tree Oil can kill that bacteria and mites. Add olive oil to this oil to make it last and cut down on the smell. The scent is very strong so it is a good idea to apply in the evening when you don't have to go anywhere and rinse it out before going to work or school in the morning.

Women loose their hair many times because of hormones. Coconut oil can help by just rubbing about one teaspoon into the scale every day. There is another benefit to using coconut oil as it will condition the hair and make what you have look fuller. Many commercial conditions contain coconut oil so be sure to find them and use them.

The most important thing to keeping your hair full is to have good circulation in the scalp area. Give yourself a nice head massage in the morning when you get up and in the evening when you go to bed. Good circulation will enable you to keep your hair.

Some remedies work for some people and some do not work and using them to prevent hair loss can be trying. If your family has baldness all through the generations the likelihood of these remedies working are slim, but it does not hurt to try. Maybe you will be the one in the family that is able to keep their hair longer because you did.

Products For Hair Loss

By Abraham Jones

Experiencing thinning hair or losing one's hair can really affect a person's confidence. The demand for hair thickening treatments and products is very big. In fact there are thousands of products and treatments available that claim to be able to thicken hair. Besides medicines there are many cosmetic hair thickening products.

Products that claim to add body to thinning hair and thicken it up include hair extensions and weaves, wigs, toupees and hair systems and spray and shampoos. In addition to this by choosing certain hairstyles hair dressers can sometimes create the appearance of thicker hair, visually.

Although hair extensions and weaves will cosmetically thicken hair as they literally add hair to existing hair, they are not recommended for people with thinning hair or hair loss. This is because the extra weight is likely to stress an already weakened hair root and could enhance the thinning of the hair root and damage it more.

Wigs and hair systems are another type of product that cosmetically give the appearance of thicker hair. Of course they won't actually thicken existing hair but the result can be the convincing appearance of a full head of hair. Wigs and hair systems can be very convincing at the higher end and even close up will be virtually undetectable. They can be expensive though and involve regular maintenance fees, so this needs to be taken into account by any potential users.

Cosmetic hair thickening products such as sprays, lotions and shampoos almost all work on a similar basis. They will not actually thicken hair apart from cosmetically but the results can be very good. Cosmetic hair thickening or enhancement products work in a similar fashion as mascara does on eyelashes. Each hair is coated with some kind of thickening agent to provide an overall thicker looking head of hair.

The correct hairstyle of hair cut can instantly add the appearance of thicker, fuller hair with more volume and body. Of course the hair will not actually be thickened in this instance but visually it can appear that way. Generally keeping the hair short is advised for those with thinning hair. Hair that is cut shorter usually appears thicker with more density and volume. For this reason a bob type cut for a woman and a short crop type cut are often beneficial to men and women with thinning hair.

Of course any treatment that is going to come into contact with the skin must be safe for the recipient to use. For this reason it is highly advisable that if you are considering using hair thickening products of any sort you are sure that any ingredients contained in them is safe for you to use and will not cause any kind of adverse medical reaction.

Propecia Hair Loss Prevention Supplements And Therapies Could Actually Help Treat Alopecia

By John Farikani

When it comes down to gaining an understanding of how Propecia hair loss prevention supplements and therapies could actually help treat alopecia, people should first of all understand that many men and women will end up having to confront the problem of male pattern baldness. Unfortunately, just as many women as men find themselves forced to confront the issue of such alopecia in their lives.

The first thing that needs to be understood when it comes to alopecia is that it is mostly androgenic, or hormone-based, in nature. What this means is that the hair follicles of the scalp begin to interact with certain hormones in the body in ways that eventually cause the loss of hair in ever greater amounts. For the most part, the main hormone responsible is dihydrotestosterone or DHT.

This sensitivity on the part of hair follicles to DHT is evidenced in both women and men. However, such sensitivity isn't the only reason why baldness may begin to appear. Scientists have established that there are certain other environmental and genetic factors that sometimes play a role, with some studies highlighting a link between intense aerobic activities and androgenic alopecia.

The science, though, that has attempted to tie other, non-genetic factors into alopecia has been disputed by other medical professionals. What is still the case, though, is that many men and women will find themselves looking in the mirror and wondering where their hair has gone. That's why certain natural substances that have been combined with products containing the commercial substance Propecia show promise.

When discussing Propecia as a therapy to help prevent or reverse the effects of androgenic alopecia, women need to know that this particular medication is exclusive to men only. They shouldn't really use it for even touch it. But they should also take heart in knowing that there are other forms of therapies that are just as effective for them as they are for men.

For women, a wide range of supplements that are mostly natural in composition, combined with certain substances that are applied to the scalp and which contain an FDA-approved drug called Minoxidil have been shown to be extremely effective in the treatment of androgenic alopecia that appears in both men and women. Both sexes should be comforted by the fact that there are therapies galore these days.

Propecia hair loss therapies and preventive strategies aren't the only substances available to help pattern baldness, and this should be looked at as an extremely exciting thing. Both men and women -- who are prevented from using the drug Propecia -- should take heart in understanding that there are still a wide range of options available to them to conquer the scourge of pattern baldness.
